With 490K to spend I'm looking at:

Ruggles -> Hodge/Laird/Simpson/Bartel

then

McCarthy -> any mid, but who?  Is Danger a must have at his price or go with a cheaper option like Coniglio, Sidebottom, Treloar, Adams, Slonae etc.  After this weeks trade I'll have 1 more upgrade, and 2 guys I'm not happy with who I will sideways trade in Walters and Duncan.

I just don't think the price can be justified for Danger at the moment, no matter his red hot form at the moment ...

i'm wondering on Hodge, but the issue is that my weak fwd-line is causing me the problems - not having Zerrett and Zorks is really hurting my ranking atm ...  :P   :(    ;)

I just don't know if I can 'pull the trigger' on them at pretty much top price??   :-X   ;)

I brought in Zerrett after his bye and Zorko last week.  I too was avoiding them till now and I'm stoked I finally did...it's helping me catch you. ;)

TomK

Currie - Naismith
Phillips - Rocky

Easy enough for me this week

I think Jackson Trengove has topped out at 401k and a BE of 72 :) Can afford to bring in any ruckman and want Gawn but he's at his most expensive point this season and is due for a stinker.. maybe..

Josh Smith is maxed out down back for me also, and I just see him leaking cash from here. Really want to bring in Docherty, Laird, Kelly or Boyd. The latter two make me nervous due to the possibility of being rested.

And then there is Liberatore who is out injured. For the sake of my Fantasy side it'd probably make things easier if he were out for another week so I don't have to worry about him losing money and he can warm the pine. But if he is named I then have to make the decision about what to do with him (have been trying to get rid of him all season but he just keeps finding a way to stay). With a 111 breakeven the chances of him losing money for me are fairly high and if it werent for a Trengove maxing out I would be trading him straight to the likes of Zorko who I think is considered a must have come seasons end.

Now If anyone can lead me towards which of the three options I should go itd be much appreciated, I think the top option is probably the one which is most important to take as it'll add the most points to my side. Choosing the second trade is the hard part. If anyone is able to grab a statistic of how rucks score vs GWS or something similar that could help it would be appreciated.

to the end of rd15 (because I've lost a bit of love for fantasy since then)
average of 81.07 to the best ruckmen, which is the 5th hardest in the AFL (behind North, WB, Essendon and WC)
although I will also say that 11/14 have topped 70 (tied 2nd behind Port) for the most times it's happened
no big scores (only 1 score of 100+, and 4 of them 90+) but a not-awful score if you really need it

his price might not, but you're paying for the ONLY guy in the AFL that has scored 70+ DT in EVERY game since the start of 2015
the consistency is unreal

even though i love the idea of having hodge in my backline, chances are if i make the GF and hawks are clear on top of the ladder, he'll get rested that week when i need him most.  Might not happen but i dont really want to take that risk lol

As for this week, so far ive gone:

Dea (finally)! to Castagna
McGovern (finally)! to Gray of the Robbie variety.

Still have Zaharakis but he's lost too much coin in my opinion to warrant  trading him out.  Holding onto him as m8 and hoping he bangs out a couple tonnes during finals.

Hmm yeh cheers that's very insightful. I would happily take a 70 from Trengove meaning he won't lose any or much value in the hope that Gawn might be able to lose some value. I feel that bringing in Zorko and getting rid of Smith are slightly more important this week.

Bought Barlow in on the weekend and out he goes again this week  ::)

Spewing about barlow..... I would have my fwd line complete and my midfield with 7/8 premos if Barlow was still good to go.

I was gonna go Rose to Zorko, but I'll have to upgrade rose next week.

Currie to Naismith
Barlow to Zorko
