Clarification required Purple. I currently have picks 6,43,61, 71 and 92. Currently using 6,43 and 61.

I plan on using 92 to upgrade a rookie. If I plan to use my PSD Pick 5 then I have to pass on 71 is this correct? Just want to know as I may wish to trade pick 71.

So this would mean you'll name 36 senior listed players in your list lodgement (35 + 1 promoted rookie), correct?

That means you'll only have 4 picks entering the draft. 6, 43, 61 & 71. To use a PSD pick, you'll have to pass on Pick 71 :)

You don't need to use a pick to upgrade a rookie. You put the rookie on the senior list

You don't need to pass 71 either as you will be allocated a 6th and 7th round pick which you can pass instead

Pretty sure that's right
You need a pick to upgrade a rookie

Yeah but if he trades 71 he'll get an extra pick in round 6 if he's only got 39 players + picks.
Yep exactly

Yep Rookie is promoted with Pick 92.

So to use PSD5 I have to pass on pick 71.  So basically to put it simply either use PSD5 or Pick71 to complete the 40 Senior list. To use a scenario if I trade pick 71 for another PSD pick I will not be able to use the PSD picks as I will have no National Pick to pass as per rules.

In that instance, trading 71 to another PSD wouldn't change anything would it? You wouldn't be able to use that PSD pick because you'll be using PSD5 for your last senior spot

You trade 71, but then you will be given a 6th round pick which you can pass so that you can use PSD5, but the later PSD pick received for 71 wouldn't be used anyway because you'd already filled your 40 with PSD5, so there's no point in trading 71 for a PSD

TL;DR, Use 71 or PSD5, pass the other

Just over 48 hours to go!  :o

Surely there's going to be some big last minute trades coming through  ???

RD is correct. Except this time your 4 picks you'd take in would be 6, 43, 61 and 92, and you'd pass on 92 to use your first PSD pick. But you can't use the other without passing on pick 61

He said big trade. Trading the best player in WXV history to a team without a forward line won't have any significant ramifications.

your giving A+ to Travis Cloke.

im giving an A to Adam Treloar.

Its like im grading as if im teaching "Law" at Harvard Business School.

NDT is grading as if they are teaching "Accounting 101" at a Community College.

pretty apt depictions of our teams actually.
