I reckon a few people will be trying to decide between these 2 guys as an Ablett replacement, so I thought it might be helpful to start a poll.

The Dockers have a tough run home, but they have been poor all year and that hasn't seemed to affect Neale's scoring.
On the flip side, Adelaide have an easy run home.

I don't have Hanners so it's between him and Neale for me but Sloane would be my 3rd choice

RaisyDaisy

Feel like Sloane is valued at top dollar right now, and at this time of the season we're all looking to get value for money with limited trades remaining

Hanners vs Priddis vs Neale is the choice I've narrowed it down to

With Freo not playing finals, is there a chance Neale get's managed at all?

Hanners averaging over 115 at 539k is probably going to be too hard for me to ignore

_wato

Hanners > Neale > Sloane > Pridda regarding all the players mentioned above

timmyparso

Tough call not sure there is a bad choice.

I also don't have Hanners and based on price I've gone Hanners at this stage so i have money for the last of my trades.

If i had to vote on the 2 I'd go Slone. Form is pretty good.

Besides Ward and Gray who I already have, is there anyone in the 4-500k range worthy of a starting 8 spot?

I only ask because that extra cash saved would allow me to get my final def prem in, which is looking harder to do without that sort of cash

Depends how you rate Gaff or Hall (in Ablett free midfield)

Yeah, feel like Treloar, Prestia, Sidebottom and Gibbs would be the 4, but are any of them good enough?

I guess for me personally it would be something like one of those 4 + Rance/Pittard/Gibson vs Hanners and a 400-430k def

Already have Hall and Gaff isn't good enough for a starting spot

Interesting to look at Sideys form with and without Adams.... keep this quiet though  ;)

I'm considering Sidey and Ward myself (I assume you have Ward), but Gibbs has a good finals draw which is tempting.

I think something like Sidey and Rance could be good, don't forget that Sidey was averaging like 115 for like the first half of the season, before that string of 80-100 scores brought his price and average crashing down. Never really had a bad score though, just all in a row.

I personally believe Hanners is a clear better option than Neale & Sloane, so I would take him first if you didn't have him.

_wato

Considered Dylan Shiel RD? Consistent as and with more tog he could go 115 in the way home, easy draw

I say that, because his ppm is 1.1 which is better than a lot of mids, same as Neale Sloane Hanners etc and look how well they're going

Might not want Ward Shiel though

_wato

RD what about Hanners and JJ? Johannisen 443k and should go 95+ on the way home too

RaisyDaisy

Shiel is also an option, but I don't think JJ would be

I've got 50k in the bank, so Ablett to Hanners gives me 100k in the bank, where as Shiel, Presita, Sidey etc gives me close to 150k

Next week I will be upgrading Collins (Who should be about 320-330k) so I need that cash on top. Collins at that price + 150k means I get a solid defender, where as Hanners and just 100k in the bank means I probably have to grab someone speculative  :-[
