I only have 2 trades left and $155,000 in the kitty but I am not throwing in the towel yet.  :P

SC Gods please be kind to me in terms of injuries for the rest of the season.  ::)

Lol I ain't gone yet mate. I ran out of trades this time last year and still made it to 38th

2 will be enough I think, Gaz was unlucky and I don't have Lib so I'm still all good

Yeah no problem with team complete at this stage, providing you don't get hit by injuries. I have 1 less trade and an extra 75k, so in a similar position to you wato :)

King_Robbo

Not sure why you're so focused on getting in Shaw..
His last few games has shown that teams are starting to lock down on him. Especially the weaker teams in which GWS are playing for the majority of the run home.
I'd rather be getting in a premo mid that you lock in a 110-120 average from here...

_wato

And Robbo who tags him?

After this week (Robinson who may not even go to him) he has Port Tigs GC WCE Freo North (only if Jacobs comes back) who don't tag. I stand to be corrected though

_wato

Imo he is a Shaw bet to go 110-120 over most mids

I have question marks over Neale, Freo are gonna get belted on the run home and Bont's little flourish ain't gonna last all year

Holz

Ablett to Neale.

Wait on Shaw big BE let him drop 30 and see if back in form.

Downgrade someone next week and go Rich to Shaw.

Only gives me 1 trade v 2 if I go Ward

Okay another solution.

Aaron Hall. Gaz out Richitelli out for year.

Solves all $$ problems

The guy has more strapping tape on him than I've ever seen, has been dropped already this year and has lost his best source of handball receives (GAZ)
Wouldn't you rather the known quantity in Ward?

I agree with you in that you need to get this shaw + mid deal done in 2 trades but you want someone who is consistent. Risk/Reward with Hall I guess.

I'd be looking at Shaw alternatives before turning to Hall.  Ward and see what shakes in a few still seems like the best option.

gives you the best team though. if you go for overall then neale if you go for legaue then go ward.

Mate, looking back through the advice i would go - Hodge/Shaw (Wait a week for him to drop) Hodge becomes a great POD, high ceiling & been rested. (Start of the year you would have been wrapt with him as M7/8)

I reckon I would too, Hodge looked excellent on the weekend, and no way he'd get rested now so he can build up to full fitness in time for finals.

I'm actually tempted to trade Ablett to him myself, then use the spare cash to also trade in Hall/Boomer/Greene even Lycett on the bench

_wato

Nah I don't like Hodge simply because his role always changes

One minute he'll be in the guts, next minute loose on halfback

Either way, not having a designated role doesn't really sit well with me
Doubt he reaches the heights of last year (108 avg) and Ward could hit that easy (current 106 avg)
