So I upgraded Petracca to Deledio today giving me my 7th prem forward and now have Hall at M9(F7) who I will loop with Libba each week for M8, and I have Sinclair as ruck and forward cover too

Feeling pretty good about having this sort of depth, although my backline is still fielding rookies with shower cover LOL

I've known for some time that I would run out of trades early this year, so felt it was important to ensure I had good cover.

Ideally I would have loved to upgrade Libba/Hall to elite prems but I just don't have the trades and consider depth more important. Hopefully the points I can potentially gain through loopholing now will make up for the points I miss from not having Hanners/Neale etc

Anyone else got decent bench cover atm too?

If not, do you think you will? And who will you be looking to have as cover, and by when?

I still have Petracca, Kerridge, and Adams covering all lines with just M8 left if I keep Libba, still have 7 trades in the bank. Will get Dahl once he bottoms out, ideally will want to upgrade Adams to a premo defender as well, along with Libba to someone like Neale. I can probably do all of those moves in like 5 trades at most, leaving me with just 2 left but awesome cover.

Cover eventually will be -

Collins at D7
Trengove at M8
Phillips at F7

Could change if I decide to keep Adams/Kerridge/Petracca but I think I will need their cash more than their points to complete my team.  :-\

At the moment I'm pretty happy with my bench cover

I have either Greene or Hall at f7
Petracca at m9 - I think Petracca has a bit more money to make and will average similar to Kerridge, so I gave Kerridge the flick last week
I have B.Smith at d5 Adams at d6 and Collins at d7 (this will be my last upgrade due to his monster 126)

I'm going to try and move Brodie spud Smith to d6 and with luck d7 eventually.

Strongly considering next week
Adams to Laird
M.Brown to a rookie
Wines to Treloar at m8

I think after Rd 15 I'll be pretty settled

Adams at D7
Trengove at M9
Petracca at F6 but hoping to get Dahl when he bottoms out which means Hall will be F7.

Sorry meant Petrecca at F7

My plan is Collins D7, Petracca M9 and Phillips F7 with Menadue F8 for swing purposes

#7
Adams D7
Trengrove M9
Kerridge F7

7 Trades left with Libba to become Hanners next week and McGoven(Mitch) to become cheap d/f the week after.

This will leave me with above cover and links between m/f and d/f to swap/loophole.

So pretty set with 5 trades and cash but no ruck cover, can trade to fix that if it comes up.

enzedder

Kerridge M9
Petracca F7
Happy with that. Heaps of flexibility, links and loophole possibilities between fwds/mids.
My problem lies in the rucks... no cover with Goetz. Need Gawn and Goldy to stay on the park... and defenders are a worry with Brand and Lee.

Choosing between keeping Ruggles or Collins at D7... Who has better job security for the rest of the year?

How many trades left?

roo boys!

Well this week my defensive bench scored 267 between them (Collins and Williams)  :-X, but otherwise my bench cover still consists of rooks. I think it's pretty key as the season goes forward to really strengthen this though, which is why I'm considering something similar to what you've done RD and upgrade Petracca to push Hall onto the bench and loophole him when possible.

Wanderer

Adams D7
Libba M9
Hall and Hickey F6/F7
Hickey also covers rucks if required
Hall can also cover Mids if required

Would leave me with 5 trades, but still contemplating holding onto Rich and upgrading Trengove in a few weeks instead to a premium leaving me with 3 trades, but Rich extra cover for Def/Mid via McVeigh.

Do I go for extra cover with Rich (overkill maybe?) or conserve the trades and have 5 instead of 3 for final run home?

After finishing my backs next week my bench cover will be

D7 - Collins  D8 - ?
Mid 9,10,11 Trengove , Gresham , Phillips
Fwd 7,8 Petracca Menadue

With 7 trades left and Menadue looking like making some good cash after his big score this week it is looking very possible now to get another gun Mid - fwd like Montagna to float between those positions

WizzFizz

D7 Collins
M9 Petracca
F7 Kerridge
3 trades left
