Fremantle players will be locked in soon!

EurAsia
Lachie Neale puts on the EurAsian outfit tonight! He is one member of a very memorable midfield quartet from Beijing and has really taken a step up this year. Neale is currently the 7th highest averaging player in Worlds (5th highest mid) and has scored 138+ three times this year; a ceiling worthy of his EurAsian representation. After a solid/OK start from ruckman Goldstein, EurAsia would love to have another score in that vicinity.

AAP Alliance
Michael Barlow is the first to take up arms for the Alliance; he proves to be SOMEWHAT of an unknown, as he has been in and out of the Pacific Islanders team and overall probably a bit of a disappointing recruit for them, considering they forked over two high draft picks for him. Barlow is currently the 48th highest averaging player in Worlds (7th highest forward), and is coming off his highest score of the year last week of 168. Can he do it again?

After Fremantle:

Neale, like Goldstein, probably did just average in the end. Despite having basically 200 from 2, this is not the start the EurAsian's were hoping for from 2 top 10 averaging players.

Meanwhile, Michael Barlow served the Alliance well with a solid 119. These are the kind of scores each team would like to have from all of its players, so Barlow has done both the Islanders and Alliance proud!

Brisbane players will be locked in soon!

EurAsia
The Zorko withdrawal is a big loss; as he was the 10th highest averaging player in Worlds and the number 1 forward in the competition! Without the Beijing super forward, EurAsia have no representatives in this game, but will get a glimpse at his replacement in Jack Riewoldt for next week.

AAP Alliance
The Alliance have a brought in a big gun for this match; JROO's own Tom Rockliff. He is the only one in this game but one that has the potential to put EurAsia to the sword. Although he is just the 37th highest averaging player in Worlds so far this year; his average has suffered from a couple of injury affected games. But, since he has come back from his most recent injury, he has averaged 146 from 3 games, which included a HUGE score of 204. That is why I suppose he is the Alliance's VC, as he could destroy EurAsia if loopholed. You could almost say he is there most important player in this epic clash!

GWS players will be locked in soon!

EurAsia
Only Seoul's Nick Haynes fronts up in the next game. To be honest, I was a little surprised to see him named as EurAsia's E4, but when you look at his form (averaging 85 as a defender), it starts to make a little sense! It's entirely likely that Hayne will remain onff the field, but should the 129th highest averaging player in Worlds (20th highest defender) from Seoul replicate his 101 effort in Round 10, then he gives something for coach Holz to consider loopholing.

AAP Alliance
Following the Alliances' introduction of gun mid Tom Rockliff, they follow him up with someone even better! Mexico City's Heath Shaw has been an absolute star this season; the third highest averaging player in the comp and the number 1 defender. You could say he would feel a little peeved at not having the captaincy handed over to him, given that his ceiling has reached as high as 203 this season, but regardless, he has the potential to really hurt the EurAsians. The Alliance also have Cairo's Shane Mumford listed as their second emergency, and the comp's 73rd highest averaging player (5th highest ruck) could prove to be a very handy loophole option if called upon. Although Mumford's 2016 ceiling is only as high as 117, a repeat of that effort would make coach JROO stop and think about dropping Blicavs (marginally ahead of Mumford at 71st highest), so his performance is just as important.

After Brisbane:

Rockliff really let the Alliance down tbh. Sure, a 100 is OK, but he could have served them much better.

And I forgot about Rio's Mitch Robinson! But unfortunately he went down early to injury, and won't come on as he is eligible for the sub rule.

Haynes was easily my favourite pick up of the summer, love the way he plays!

Geelong players will be locked tonight

EurAsia
PNL's Corey Enright & Seoul's Patrick Dangerfield are next in line for EurAsia, whom would be wanting a big score or two REALLY soon. Corey Enright (12th highest averaging defender) has been a stalwart for PNL and Worlds in general really. With 6 centuries to his name already this year, EurAsia would be needing another one as a bare minimum and would ideally like his most recent score of 129. But, it's Patrick Dangerfield that is the big one here. The Worlds number 1 averaging player is been in IMMENSE form for basically all of the year, but particularly in the last two weeks where he has scored 402 points! That's flowering crazy. But, coach Holz is on the safe side here with his precious star, naming him as VC just in case he fails to fire. But this is the guy that could destroy the Alliance.

Also waiting on the emergency list is Holz' own Joel Selwood, whom sits as the 7th highest player this year (5th best mid) and pretty pissed off he didn't at least make the bench. But this coach is a cautious one, ready to pounce on a loophole at a moments notice. Selwood has averaged 140.33 in the last 3 weeks, so he could have a huge say in the result yet.

AAP Alliance
The Alliances' 4th player and Mexico City's 3rd, Jimmy Bartel sits comfortably amongst his peers as the 7th highest averaging defender so far this year. Bartel is coming off 4 straight centuries at the moment and is primed to go for a 5th and maintain this early lead over EurAsia. Like a few of the players already discussed, Bartel is coming off his highest score of the year of 130; a score the Alliance would love right now.

The other member of the alliance is last years' AAP Alliance Medallist Mark Blicavs. The current Cobra and 4th highest averaging ruck in the comp is a proven performer on the biggest of stages, and despite performing a little below his 2015 standard, still has 5 scores 115+ which proves he could yet again have a say in the result. It would be quite an effort to replicate last years 150, but hey, you never know!
