My Ruck Dilemma

Hey guys

So I've got Goldy/NicNat with Sinclair at R3 for cover

Now I know most NicNat owners will be grabbing Goldy or Gawn, and I know Gawn seems like the obvious choice for me too but with Tippett now out for 6 weeks should I just field Sinclair at R2 and turn NicNat into a prem forward instead?

This would then mean I have Hall as M9/F7

So, Hall at M9/F7 with Sinclair R2, or Hall on field at F6 with Gawn at R2?

Capper

Nankervis will come in and help out Sinclair. As a swans supporter i wont be touching Sinclair, not even in person, unless no one is watching and its consensual

I will be getting Gawn

The appeal with Gawn is the safety in numbers.

Secondly, comparing his value to other prem forwards makes him a must have.  $585K for 116 average is better than anything you'll find in the forward line.

No risk in getting him because literally every SC'er who takes the game half seriously will have him.

Personally am bringing Goldy in as I don't have him but Sinclair just won't cut it RD.

If I were you I would be bringing Gawn into your side in a heartbeat.

RaisyDaisy

Cheers guys - was thinking the exact same but just wanted to seek some opinions

PICCOLLO

In terms of scoring in the rucks, its nicnat, goldy, gawn then daylight to anyone else.

You really need gawn now that nicnat is down. 115 avg is huge.

He's priced high atm. Bit annoying.

Bones Bombers

I was considering the same thing but with Lycett being my forward ruck. Hasn't been too good the last two weeks but now Nic Nat  is out he might be right. But think I agree with everyone else and will bring in Gawn. Keeps the backup in the forward line too should Goldy or Maxy miss a week.

Here's my plan... current RUC = Gawn, NicNat (Grimley)

RD14 - NicNat > Hickey
RD15 - play Hickey (as Goldy having bye)
RD16 - Kerridge > Goldy via DPP.... Goldy predicted to be $50k cheaper by then... AND opens up a RUC/FWD swing set with Grimley

Means I have to play Hickey as F7 for the rest of the year and upgrade Petracca (hoping to hold Petracca as MID/FWD cover for rest of year)

Ringo

Hickey not the worst F7. Nothing wrong with Petracca and Hickey at F7 and F8 in a finished team if you can achieve that,

Was so close to getting in hickey but am now thinking big Steph. Have 11 trades still in bank so if he returns to sharing the ruck duties then will waste a trade. If he doesn't share then it could be gold. Sometimes you have to risk it for the biscuit. I really like timtim approach however and could follow that....

If I was a Nic Nat owner I would be taking Stef. He just represents way too much value for his price. In essence you would be making $150k on a NN >> Martin trade and the Brisbsne draw does open up from here.

It is a huge risk as even his game last week of 140 odd was great on paper, he was only playing against Giles, the same guy who Shaun McKernan was preferred too last season, and he didn't look very sharp until later in the game.

This.

Too much value not to take a punt on Martin.

Gold nearly $200k extra but is also sporting a dodgey knee... not too much known about it's severity too

So I got Martin but need to bring in support r3. Was thinking of Nankervis. Good BE and will be able to be F7 as have Chol doing nothing. Thoughts as I don't know much about him.
