hey guys with the talking of a mid season trade week and just trades in general also entering the bye rounds after this week

lets have some fun

each team post there trade they are most happy with
can list reasons why as it could have been good for structure
or was it that good in hindsight that no explanation is needed (that one Holz posted of him sending off neale etc for example would hurt and i know HP still has Nightmares of the one where he traded Dahlhaus)

then ofc that leads into what trade do you most regret
and why if again if it is not as obvious or for other reasons etc

just a bit of fun and ofc a lot of the trades will be a case of hindsight being a wonderful thing
but you know the saying if you don't laugh you'll cry :P

P.S: MM you not getting comp cannot not be your bad one...haha ;)

Purple 77

2014 was a pretty awful trade period for me... this one takes the cake

Trade 17
Dublin trade: Charlie Dixon + Jack Watts
Berlin trade: Dayne Zorko + Pick 12

I mean, wtf. Made no sense then, and makes no sense now.

kilbluff1985

don't see this ending well lol

our time at PNL we don't do a massive amount of trades so a smaller supply to choose from but never the less

the bad
before the inital season after drafting
Boomz trades Jarrod Harbrow & Trent Dennis-Lane to Hellopplz for Luke Dahlhaus and Tom Gillies.

and again with boozmie at the end of 2012
Trade 84 (Confirmed)
Tokyo gives: Phil Davis and Jonathon Patton
PNL gives: Picks 4 and 23

the good
we haven't had any huge wins it turns out but a couple we are happy eith

again with Boozmie
PNL Give: Pick 69 + 80
Tokyo Give: Tom Campbell
Not the biggest name but as those following this season will know Tom Cambell has saved our skins no Lobbe No PNL is over thanks to Tommy

NDT give: N6 + Sheridan
PNL give: N5 + JGrant

again no big superstar moves but Sheridan has come in handy down back and we hope he continues to grow

so the bad has really been worse then the good
(though left out like getting swan which was great for us last season)

but again those bad were 2012 so we seemed to have learned our lesson or maybe that is why we are not heavy traders?

nah i'm just stingy :P

And few good contenders, but I like this one the best as I still have him (done at end of 2012):

Seoul Gives: Pick 10 and Jack Steven
Berlin Gives: Preseason Draft Pick 3, Paul Duffield, Liam Patrick and Seb Ross

Steven then went on to break out with me, win a B&F, and continue to be a cornerstone of my midfield ever since  8)

I had a look over our last 2 years of trades, and there was plenty  ;D

I think we did very well with these two (The first one most thought we were worse off, but I think we win by a mile)

New York trade: Harley Bennell, Paul Duffield + Mark Whiley
Mexico trade: Jordan Lewis, Shaun Grigg + Scott D Thompson

New York give: Pick 10, Tom Nicholls and Ben Griffiths
New Dehli give: Mitch Duncan and Pick 24

Wouldn't say that 2nd one was a massive win by any stretch, but I'd much rather Duncan over what we gave up

And this one wasn't that great lol

New York give: Mark Blicavs and Darcy Lang
Cape Town give: Nathan Vardy and Jamie Bennell

None of these compete with the ones above though LOL

Nige

Don't think we've won a single trade in forever. I don't even think I do good trades anymore, not in Worlds anyway.

Drafting is pretty dece though.

Ricochet

I'm pretty happy with Cloke for Kerridge tbh

Adamant

From our only trade period thus far...

The Good

Toronto trade: Jarryn Geary, Jonathan Freeman + Pick 31
Cape Town trade: Jasper Pittard + Pick 58

Pittard has been an absolute rock down back for us, averaging 95 with only one score below 80. At 25 years of age he has become one of the most valuable defenders in the comp.

Geary meanwhile has been pretty awful averaging 59. Freeman hasn't done much either. Pick 31 was used on Bailey Rice.

Trade 14
Toronto trade: Travis Cloke + PSD Pick 2
New Delhi trade: Jarrad Grant, Jimmy Webster + Sam Kerridge

Basically Cloke for Kerridge. We all know the story about Trav so I'm not going to make NDT anymore depressed about him. :P

My boy Kedge has been very solid averaging 87 as a mid/fwd. Would be good if we didn't have to waste him at M3 every week though.

Also Rico, Kerridge 10, Cloke 1. ;)

The Bad

Toronto trade: Mitch Robinson, Aaron Hall, Tom Cutler, Jackson Ramsay + Sean Lemmens
Rio de Janeiro trade: Stephen Hill on-traded for Tex Walker, Andrew Walker on-traded for Cloke, who was on-traded for Kerridge + Mitch Clark

This one doesn't look great. Hall started the season like a house on fire but has slowed down the past few weeks and now finds himself in the NEAFL. Still averaging 96 which is +14 on Tex.

Cutler has been pretty handy averaging 71 (77 without the injury affected game) and Ramsay looked promising before doing his ACL.

Robinson and Kerridge average the same so they cancel each other out.

meow meow

I still really regret trading picks 63 and 66 for Matt Maguire. Compo.

Jroo

Mexico City give: Aaron Sandilands, Bryce Gibbs
Mexico City receive: Tom Rockliff, James Sicily

Purple 77

Jukes

Good: We gave up Darling (77 average at 23) and Walters (86 average at 25) to Holz for Hogan (86 average at 21) and Docherty (110 average at 22)

Bad: But we also picked up Jaeger (R.I.P ;_;) and pick 30-ish for Fyfe within a couple weeks of that, so you win some you lose some.

Ugly: Oh, and we tried to get Hooker (out all season), Bell (languishing with the lions), and pick 8 for Ward (111 average), but apparently we were winning that trade by so incredibly much that we had to kick in Jenkins too (95 average)

meow meow

The most injured trade ever.

Devon Smith for Jamie Elliott and 26
26 for Clay Smith

Jamie Elliott and Nathan Hrovat for pick 2
Pick 2 for Jobe Watson and pick 12
Pick 12 for Jack Trengove
