NFL 2016/17 Season

Looking forward to this draft tomorrow, even though it's not as good as last year or as good as next year will be with guys like Darnold, Rosen, Allen, Falk, Browning, and Rudolph coming through at QB, and a fair few good OL and D guys.

Hopefully we can trade down to 6-10 and take McCaffrey, if not just taking him or Fournette at #2. Just hopefully we don't take another mediocre DL guy up high or a scrubby DB. But I highly expect us, despite the new GM and HC, to completely disappoint me.

Who I would like: trade down + McCaffrey, Corey Davis, Moreau/Sidney Jones, Davenport, Kupp, Anthony Walker, Vallejo, Saubert, Chad Kelly, Richie Brown

My top 5 busts - Ross, Howard, Foster, Peppers, Kizer
Top 5 steals - Chad Kelly, Kupp, Hendrickson, Kittle, Fish Smithson

I like Trubisky, no way he was a top 5 pick though - especially when you look at next year's QBs

I guess if they finally get their QB no price is too high.

They probably wont as even if he is good they will ruin him somehow.

Trubisky is solid but they should have kept their two third round picks, taken a DB or whoever, and then taken Darnold, Rosen, or Allen (all elite prospects) next year

But the Mahomes pick is much much worse, he's mediocre as it comes and shouldn't be in the first round (or two rounds). Better than Watsob at least...and the Ross pick was horrible too

Great day for us in a pretty poor draft on the topside (there is quite a bit of depth) - John Lynch has done a better job in one day than Baalke did in six years. Grabbed a pair of 3rd round picks (and a 4th we used to swap with Seattle) for free, a solid lineman in Thomas to pretty much complete the new-look 4-3 DL, and a pretty decent LB who should've been top-15, although I would've preferred to trade down to 6/7 and take McCaffrey as well. Gotta target OL, WR, and DB the next two days, plus a QB like Peterman or Chad Kelly and some RB help.

Other picks I liked today: Barnett to the eagles, Hooker to the colts, Allen to the redskins, and Watt to the steelers.
Spud picks: Davis to the titans, Ross to the bengals, Mahomes to the chiefs, Watson to the texans, and all three overrated, mediocre TEs taken.

49ers won the draft. Everyone will regret letting Foster slide so far... As a Ravens fan I was so hoping we go him or Barnett once Ross and Davis left super early... Davis Webb will be better than Mahomes, possibly the worst pick of the day. Here's hoping JuJu Smith-Schuster 2nd round and Derek Rivers 3rd round for Ravens.

Great drafts for the Niners and Browns so far. When will teams learn that trading up rarely works well?

Anyway, I'm happy with the Pats' first round pick!

I rate Barnett though, production speaks volumes - rate him, Garrett, Allen, and Thomas pretty equally as DEs this draft - all better than Clowney, but none as good as Bosa.
