Pretty simple.

Guessing this is a Q for quite a few this week, at similar value and low BEs.

Now is the time to strike, but who's the best pick from here in?

If you really can't decide then go by their byes - oh hang on, they share a bye.

Hmmmm.

Go for durability.

Duckwood?

Yeah I'm kind of thinking he's more likely to stay on the park.

Rocky saves a few $ and is more of a POD in the run home, which is why I'm going back and forth...

Still in with a shot at the prize, so maybe safer with Jelly?? :-\

I was going to start a poll myself. Between Selwood, Rocky and Gray for me. Leaning towards Gray so far.

I crunched the numbers on all three for me Gray is by far the best pick.

Gray>>>Jelwood>Rocky for me.

Reasons:

Gray has had one crap score (53) which is dragging down his average a bit, but in 8 games he's gone 120+ 4 times. Median score is 114.

Jelwood doesn't have a middleground, he goes big (130+) or average(70-80), BUT he stays on the park. Played all 11 so far, 5 scores 130+, 4 under 90... Median is 105.

Rocky has pumped out a huge score and everyone is losing their minds over it, but the reality is he's played only 6 games and has only tonned twice. There are reasons for his terrible scores (including two 40s), but the reality is that he got those scores, if you had him in your team you copped a 40... Soft tissue injuries, so no reason it can't happen again, and the 204 made his average jump from 76 to 97, making him look a whole lot better literally overnight. Median score is 86. Possibly great value, but realistically so are Gray and Jelwood...

As someone who already has Gray, I'm looking much harder at Jelwood than I am at Rocky, I think at best Rocky will go 110 av from here, which isn't a killer.

Big Mac

+1

GoLions

I'd stay away from Rocky tbh

Colty

Rocky huge risk and huge reward.
He played mostly forward early on in the year.
Leppa has clearly decided he's going through the guts exclusively now....this means 120+ Ave fo Rocky. ....provided he stays on the park.....

MontyJnr

Selwood before Rocky. No problem with grabbing both though.

I have Selwood. I am seriously considering Rocky, but have been burnt so many flowering times with this guy. His fragile nature is a concern, so not convinced. Yet...

Same, but gonna take the punt with Rocky this week to finish of Mids, yeah I'm probably mad for not taking Gray instead however it's a roll of the dice i guess.

quinny88

Selwood is safer but I'd roll the dice on Rocky. Will be a pod and we know the sort of numbers he can put up if he stays fit

Hmmm, an interesting debate and I'm also looking for my final mid upgrade.

Remember, a player is only as good as his last game, and while it sucks that I missed his 200 + game, I want him in my squad for the next 160 + point games that he will likely produce.

GM

Jelwood has been average this year of late except for the last quarter last week.
POD for me.
