Really torn on this one, reckon their earning potential is about the same but I like the concept of having a nice fallback option in the event a player is dropped, that being a nice loophole option. Williams could be loopholed with the mids and defence.

Not touching Williams

Bevo is clearly rotating a bunch of kids through those last 1-2 spots in their 22

Seeing as I'll be getting Collins next week I reckon having both Tucker and Collins is the way to go as at least one of them should always be playing I'd think

_wato

Really with Williams? And with byes coming up? Any other time yes with byes in my mind no.

hawkboy80

I def think a freo rook defender is the way to go, williams will not be around in 6 weeks when u really need the cover

fanTCfool

Am I missing something? Williams is on the extended bench and may not even play!

I was planning on Bennedy to Matho and Ruggles to McVeigh but with Matho omitted Williams appeals now as he shares the same DPP with McVeigh. Might not need it but at some point it might prove handy. I do see the merit in having both Tucker and Collins though... and I've already got Collins.

Probably fair comment, the byes need to be taken into account. Just thinking that with Collins & Tucker, there's basically no loophole option if one gets dropped. This is the Essendon syndrome all over.

Still, all valid points.

True, just want to canvass the arguments in the event he's selected.

I'm going for both, still tempted by Williams if he's named but Tucker seems the most sensible at this stage.

Tucker vs Collins

This is becoming a massive headache! More than likely i'll only be bringing in one of them, and am leaning towards Collins because of what I perceive as better JS.
I need the player to come in as cover only, don't particularly care about money-making.

Thoughts?

So RD does that mean you will have 3 def rookies up back once you get Tucker and Collins?

You have Brand as I recall right?

That means you will be playing one of them at D6.  :-X

Yes I will. D6 is the very last prem spot I'd be upgrading, which I would have thought is pretty standard

If Tucker gets dropped in the next week or 2 though you could possibly have no back bench (Tucker, Brand)

Not an ideal situation to be in with having a rookie with so so job security at D6, especially with Ross Lyon as Tucker/Collins coach.

I have Tippa and Bryne-Jones at D5 and D6 (Adams at F6 to swing with Tippa) and feel more comfortable having them there then say Tucker or Collins at D6.

My bench is Collins and Brand for what its worth.

Good luck anyways, hopefully Collins and Tucker can last a while.  ;)

Yeah that's a fair comment you make, but I only really need them to get through the next 2 weeks really, because once the byes come along we can field 18 anywhere. Obviously it would help having them play through the byes but it won't be crucial

Tucker and Collins are the only downgrade targets I actually rate over the next 2 weeks, and seeing as I need to generate funds to upgrade elsewhere I'm grabbing them both, and because they are defenders it means I will need to get rid of guys like Ruggles, Brown, DBJ and Byrne.

I'm planning my trades for the next few weeks now, and even though I will have Collins/Tucker/Brand at D6-8 I'll either have 5 prems at D1-5 or 4 prems and DBJ
