Fixture for Round 11:

There's quite a few really good matches happening this week!

Breakers vs Magic - 6th vs 15th, and yet the Breakers have only outscored the Magic by just under 200 points this season (about 20ppg). The Breakers sit 2 games clear of the bottom 8, and won't want to give up any ground they currently hold over those teams. Win this, and they will make it very hard for another team to push them out. Lose, and they could be in a bit of trouble. In all honesty, I'm not sure what has happened to the Magic this year. Their midfield is insanely good, and at the start of the season looked like they had a team that could go deep into finals. But, it seems as though a few players have dropped off (such as Tmac, Cripps, and Lobbe), and this has really hurt them. I reckon this game will be decided by whoever gets their captain selection right...maybe the Magic?

Knights vs Steins - Maybe a game that will be played for pride more than anything else, with both teams sitting on 3 wins for the year, and placed 13th and 14th on the ladder. However, they haven't really been that bad. The Knights are 9th on total points, but with the 2nd most points against, have been quite unlucky this year, and could just have easily been sitting around 8th. The Steins have been pretty impressive as well, and it's easy to see how much improvement is left in this squad. Kelly, Hunter, Bont, Gawn, Petracca, Hogan, Grundy. That is a very very good team to build around for the future. And because of that, I'll go with the Steins.

Badgers vs Werewolves - ARE YOU READY TO HYPE. This game is massive. Badgers win, they keep 3rd spot secured for now, and will be only 1 game behind the Werewolves, and a chance at getting a top 2 spot. Werewolves will lose all hope of finishing first you'd think. Werewolves win, and they probably keep their top 2 spot for the rest of the season. Badgers will likely drop out of the top 4, and may struggle to find a way back in. With a few of their stars back over the last few weeks, the only player that the Badgers are really missing now is Shaun Higgins. Whereas the Werewolves are still without Hodge, Fyfe, Thurlow, and of course Roughy, who we wish all the best in his battle with cancer. On recent form, the Badgers have looked much better than the Werewolves, outscoring them in 6 of the last 7 games. And it is for this reason that I am extremely confident that the Werewolves will win this week in an absolute thriller.

Hoods vs Dragons - Huuuuuuuuge game for both teams here. After their loss to the Rams last week, the Hoods now sit a game out of the 8, and the last thing they want is to fall further behind. For the Dragons, unfortunately in an inspired performance from Tom Mitchell couldn't save them last week against the Badgers, and another loss this week could be the final straw for their finals chances this season. Tom Rockliff has declared himself a certain starter for this week, which will greatly increase the Dragons' chances of a win, but they'll need to get their captain right against a Hoods outfit that has Daniel Hannebery absolutely dominating week in, week out. This is a really tough game to pick, and I think I might go with the Dragons, purely because the GOAT is returning.

Giants vs Rams - How about the Rams last week? They have now won 2 of their last 3 games, and have kept their finals hopes alive, sitting just the one game out of the 8. It was a week to forget for the Giants however, losing ruckman Matthew Leuenberger, with McStay taking his place in the ruck, Kennedy injuring his ankle in the warmup and battling to a score of just over 50, and then captain Taylor Adams injuring his hamstring. I guess their one shining light was Josh Dunkley, who returned for the Dogs this week and was extremely good. Unfortunately, though, he wasn't named for the Giants, but should come in for Adams this week. With their depth being tested this much though, I don't think they'll be able to get a win over the Rams.

Hurricanes vs Leeches - The Leeches got very lucky last week, snagging a win against the Giants with the 3rd lowest score of the week. Only winning 1 of their last 3 games, they now find themselves in a position where a top 8 spot isn't a guarantee, and coming up against the Hurricanes...well, they could be in some real trouble here. After a couple of down weeks for the 'Canes, they were back to their best last week, winning comfortably against the Hedgies, who are no easy beats. You would expect them to win comfortably again this week as well.

Bunnies vs Hawks - Somehow, the Bunnies are still only a game out of the 8, and scored quite well last week, but unfortunately came up against a rampant Owls side that showed no mercy, posting the 2nd highest score of the season. The Hawks have just been getting the job done, but were quite impressive over the Magic last week, and will be expecting to post more scores of that calibre throughout the rest of the season. They should get the win fairly easily this week, however the margin could be anything from under 50 points, to over 500, such is the inconsistency of these two sides.

Owls vs Hedgies - I SAAAAAAAAID, ARE YOU READY TO HYYYYYYYPE. 2nd and 3rd on points scored, facing off in an extremely important match for each team, and will play a huge part in deciding where they finish on the ladder. For the Owls, a spot in the top 4 beckons, and they won't want to let it slip. For the Hedgies, they could move up as high as 6th, only half a game behind the Owls, but if they lose, there position in the 8 will be hanging on by a thread. I honestly have no idea who to pick here, so I decided to look at some past scores, and things get kinda interesting. For the last 6 weeks, these two teams have alternated in who scores more each week. Last week, it was...the Owls! So I'm gonna go with the Hedgies!

Oooh some super interesting match ups this week!

Def: Brendon Goddard, Jasper Pittard, Jackson Trengove, Zac Williams
Mid: Joel Selwoods (C), David Armitage (VC), Ben Cunnington (EVC), Nathan Jones

Emg: Rory Laird (D), Ryan Bastinac (M), Rory Lobb (F/R), Drew Petrie (SPUD)

Whaaaaaaat, Rory Laird on the bench....not sure if it'll stay that way though, also he might not be named :/ having real trouble choosing the backline if he is! :D

Toby has dropped off in scoring the last few weeks so I might drop him so he doesn't face the embarrassment of being trounced by his arch rival Sir Daniel :P

Since I'm playing GL this week, there seems only one option as who to Captain........

ZOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRRRRKKKKKKKKKKKKKOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

(Potential) Milestones Games for Round 11

Shannon Hurn (Bradford) 50 games
Drew Petrie (Hastings) 50 games
Shane Mumford (Hastings) 50 games

LF

Might stupid defenders might actually want to join the rest of the team in actually scoring well rather than the whole lot of them spudding up in one week again.

JBs-Hawks

Trengove to build his form up over the byes then kill it for the run home!

Nige

As long as I win (and comfortably would be nice), I could feasibly jump into the 8 provided the Hoods, Hedgies and Leeches all go down which, given their opponents, is a good possibility.

Don't write off the Rams just yet!

mids score well vs North hence looking at Miles
Fair enough, other than last week though North gave up the least amount of points, and doubt richmond will win :P

West coast didn't score that well vs Gold Coast last week despite a pretty easy win so maybe id go Zerret :P (don't blame me) ;)

Bradford Badgers

RUCK: Tom Nicholls
FWD: Michael Barlow (EVC), Sir Daniel of Caleb, Adam Cooney, Mark LeCras

Defence is gonna be tough to pick for me this week. Hurn comes in for his 50th game. Daniel Howe, Jesse Lonergan, Billy Stretch, Tom Cutler, Ryan Harwood, Sam Butler, Jarrod Harbrow all chances to play. Leaning towards Howe and Cutler, with Lonergan and Stretch on the bench...
