Just wanting to get a bit of an opinion on my team / how I'm going.. This is my first season playing AFL supercoach, and first season really taking an interest in the AFL (lived in Brisbane my whole life so rugby came first..) I've played NRL supercoach for a number of years so I understand how it all works.

Team (avg. score: 2,081, rank: 45,285, salary cap: $417.9k)
DEF - Shaw, Rich, Adams, DBJ, McDonald Tip, Hartley (Houli, Tucker)
MID - Danger, Treloar, Ablett, Parker, Priddis, Viney, Libba, Kerridge (J Smith, R Davis, D Macpherson)
RUCK - Goldy, Nic Nat (Grimley)
FWD - Zorko, Martin, Kennedy (WCE), Hall, Wells, Petracca (BenKen, M Brown)

I'm leaning towards Hartley > Pittard and BenKen > Gray (via Kerridge) this week. Thinking Pittard over Rance and others due to his value and consistency..

Probably my biggest mistake this year has been not making full use of the salary - I've been carrying over $500k since about round 4 (and I still have Houli's 450k sitting on my bench) as I was heavily focused on downgrades up until the last week or two. Realise this has cost me quite a bit

Last week I traded Gawn for Goldy (got sick of Gawn's inconsistency), and brought in Josh Kennedy (WCE) for J Wagner via DPP.

Keen to get peoples thoughts on how I'm going, what to do next?

Welcome to AFL mackdaddy from a fellow Qlder. ( I actually grew up in rural qld so league was always a priority but converted to AFL fully during the superleague war.) Will be cheering Maroons on Wednesday though as still have a heart for League.

Regarding your team not too bad but I would be looking at moving MacPherson on as he will be out with injury for a while before Kennedy.

With Houli also injured I would be moving him on as well for a defender you can afford.

Think you have enough for these trades McPherson to Gray - $348k and Houli to McVeigh or Laird,

With SC from Rd 1 it is a sound idea to carry no more than 100k in cash for future reference.

Hi mackdaddy. Houli to McVeigh & BenKen to Daulhaus for mine. Their BEs are not great but still value for $ imo. Hartley & Petracca to the bench. Hopefully Tucker gets a call up so you have a DEF EMG. Smith will have to cover Viney for the 1 week.
