Further to the TIppett plan...

NB Grimley is my R3.

R 11 - if Goldy misses then can play 2 rucks. If Goldy plays can loophole Tippett and Martin

R12 - Play all 3 as Grimley plays Friday

R13 - bye - all 3 play

R14 - Covered and Tippett misses

R15 - Fewer players so a chance to finally trade Martin out of need to - grab Gawn or NicNat if I do get rid of him

R16 - loophole if I habe kept him

R17 - same.

Maybe worth a look.

Any comments?

Cheers

If West is named to play again Martin has to go otherwise it will take 3 trades to get Gawn in , the other problem for me is having Goetz on the bench never again will I worry about when someone plays for loopholing the ruck bench must be DPP stupid mistake

Looking at off loading Stefan Martin this week, whos the better trade - nicnat or goldy ( considering all the injury clouds past few weeks)

Has to be nic Nat simply because of goldy maybe missing this week...

Will have to be a lux trade for me, not looking at sideways options yet!

Lux? The man is scoring 40's while Gawn hits 160's

GoLions

Don't have him in SC, but do have him in RDT and AF :-\

Probably gonna hold for a bit longer I guess, while I fix up every other thing wrong with my teams haha. But if you have no other glaring issues, now is definitely the time to grab Gawn I'd say.

_wato

All depends on teams I guess. If West is out he stays but I doubt it

All the boys on BF want him dropped, they say West is a better HOTA ruckman. For me, I question how many contests he can get to and what he gives around the ground. For me, Stef eats him up in that.

GoLions

Yeah would definitely keep Stef over West, he wasn't going too badly before West came in, but he's being wasted atm. I don't mind having West in the side to pinch hit and provide a target up forward, but he's spending too much time in the ruck imo.

quinny88

I'm too lazy to read through this thread but is he carrying an injury? What's the reason behind the massive drop off this year?
Was tossing up between him and Nicnat all pre season, glad I went nicnat! One of very few good choices I made in the pre season  ::)

Not carrying an injury to my knowledge Quinny.  Has not been the same since the May hit and West seems to be attending to more centre bounces than Martin. Last weekend he was actually in the defensive line for a number of minutes.
So in summary basically coach not using him in centre with West perceived to be the better hit out to advantage and then leaving Stef forward where he appears to be out of his depth.  As we know from last year he does his best work around the ball and that is obvious when he does ruck he does gain extra possessions around the ball. So take that out of his armoury his scores naturally fall. As much as I hate to say it it is time to trade him out if West is continued to be preferred in ruck.

Stefan Martin's positional breakdown with West in the side - 44% ruck and 56% as a forward. #SuperCoach #AFLFantasy

That's yucky.

Should I trade M Wright to Docherty?

Should I trade T Lynch GcS to Zorko?

Should I trade S Martin to Gawn?

These are three statistically similar trades. The first 2 are no brainers but the third seems to be hard to get your head around.

If Goldy plays, I am seriously looking at Martin being Gawn.

really you have enough ball winners you dont need your ruck to win the ball you need him to HOTA.

I would play West and drop Martin.
