who has better job security?

downgrading Mitch Brown and can swap either forward or back who is more likely to retain their spot in their respective 22

I would go Collins from Freo instead.

At least they have come out now stating they will be giving inexperienced guys games.

i've got brand who just got dropped. williams seems like a fringe player also, so im not sure i want 2 non playing on my bench. risky pick.

Scenario - Get Williams

Field Ruggles and Williams goes to M10. Brown down forward, loophole him and Petraaaaca.

Scenario - Get Dougal

Field Brown and Dougal goes to F8. Menadue to M10 and open up Mid/Fwd DPP. Menadue to Matho next week.

this is my position before this weeks trades

BACKS

PREMO   PREMO    PREMO   PREMO    Adams     Dea               Tippy & Byrne

FORWARDS

PREMO  PREMO    PREMO    PREMO    PREMO    Kerridge         Brown & Petrecca

so trading Brown and putting Tippy wherever the gap is after going

Williams (fringe player but have a few injuries over half back)

Howard (who knows with ports season and how Lobbe is)

Collins  (first game so who knows the job security )

I haven't got Brand but don't think Williams will make the cut. If you need someone this week then get him otherwise wait on Freo Collins.

Reason why Dougal is in: Trengove needed down back for Jonas
So, this made me think, are there any other returning defenders who may push Trengove back into the ruck and Dougal out?

Port's injury list:
Riley Bonner        Glute          Test
Darcy Byrne-Jones  Ankle          TBC (Named R10)
Billy Frampton       Ankle          1 week
Cameron Hewett        Finger         1 week
Aidyn Johnson      Hamstring     1 week
Tom Jonas           Suspended      Available round 17
Matthew Lobbe        Knee         8-10 weeks
Jay Schulz                Back         Indefinite
Will Snelling        Foot         Indefinite
Matt White*      Pectoral       6-8 weeks

I don't see any defenders to come in! Unless Bonner gets a run, I don't know the likelihood of that (Port fans?)

I think this gives Dougal reasonable JS and I need a Forward more so than a Def, so I think I'll take Dougal over Williams (and Hopper) and keep my Mid/Fwd DPP  8)

You have Dea Tippa and Byrne so it doesn't matter too much if you get Williams and if he goes out after 2 weeks. It does matter but doesn't matter as much as if you would have Brand on the bench like i do.

I can't afford to get Williams and for him to pull out after 1-2 weeks cause of Brand. Plan is to get Howard this week, Matho next, Collins the following week = 1 fwd bench, 1 mid bench, 1 def bench. In theory sounds perfect, but we all know thats not how the cookie will eventually crumble

Alipate Carlile playing SANFL recovering from injury. He will be back next weke in fact surprised he didn't slot straight in this week.

Trengove still named 1R I suppose the reasoning for Howard is so they can rotate 4 guys through Gawn and try to beat up on him physically, also Trengove can provide help when Hogan jumps all over Hombsch.

If Carlile was to return from injury next week, what would you say Dougal's chances of holding a spot are PB?
