No matter what the result is, very happy with this performance today! Especially when we're still without Beams and Rocky! :)

Home from the game and should be a message to AFL that Hawks need to visit Brisbane more than one in 8 years.  Big crowd considering Lions form and all General Admission tickets sold.

The game itself very proud of our boys.  Pity they faded in the last quarter.

Watching the game and you know my views on consistency of umpiring but it appears they are a set of rules for Hawks and a set for everyone else. Hawks players are allowed to tug jumpers, carry the ball for three metres, kick to open spaces and let the ball go out, push in the back without penalty.  If it is there pay it both ways.
The out of bounds deliberate call in last quarter was the last straw especially when earlier in the quarter Hawks kicked down the line into the forward 50 no one initially around the ball the ball went out and was thrown in. In the first 5 minutes we did the same thing and got penalised.  Really starting to wonder about free Kick Hawks.  In saying that would not have altered the result but the margin may have been more realistic for the game.

Matthieson needs to not do a Lindsay Thomas and play for frees every time.

Lewis was outstanding for Hawks in his milestone game.  maybe Leppa should have switched Robbo from mitchell to Lewis at half time to try and quieten him down.

Do not know what Leppa is trying to do with Stef but at one stage for 5 minutes he was in last line of defence.

Schache and Freeman are the building blocks for the future forward line.  Freeman needs to work on his kicking style and accuracy.   He is a strong mark overhead and hi return from marks in forward 50 over the last 2 weeks is 0.8 plus 2 OOB.

Tommy Bell played his best game of the season and Robertson shone. Will be hard to decide who to drop for Rocky next week.

Expect the AFL coffers will be added too given the mellees that occurred in 3rd quarter or maybe a striking charge or 2.
