Was kind of expecting a bit more tbh. Stripping back one line coach to focus on development isn't that major

valkorum

It is actually a significant change

Currently we have 5 positional coaches and 4 development coaches.

Mark Stone - Forward Coach
Michael Prior - Defensive Coach
Brent Guerra - Defensive Coach
Marc Webb - Midfield Coach
Simon Eastaugh - Midfield Coach

Peter Sumich - Development Coach (Assistant Coach)
David Hale - Development Coach
Roger Hayden - Development Coach
Anthony Rock - Development Coach

It would mean the ratio is 4 positional coaches and 5 development coaches.

Moving one coach isn't that significant Valk.

But it's only mid season. I'd assume there would be a bit more of a change come next season

valkorum

Look at the percentage ratios

4 coaches is 44%
5 coaches is 55%

You are moving from 44% development to 55% development - that is significant.

It's not really something you can look at like that though mate. It's 1 coach. And considering where we are now at, you would expect more.

But it doesn't really matter too much, as its only mid season

Why can't you look at it like that?  They look at everything else in small incrementals.  An 11% increase in development coaching is a huge change.

Well, technically you've gone from 4 to 5, which is a 25% increase in development coaches ;) and you've dropped positional coaches by 20% (5 to 4).

At least you guys are trying something :) no doubt there's a talented list there and with a key forward there next year you'll be better off. Is Sandilands coming back at all this year? He's a huge loss probably a bigger loss than Fyfe tbh.

Yeah can't see that being too major.

Agree there will be big stuff at the end of the season.

I agree with you RE: Sandilands an Fyfe.Mids are a dime a dozen, as has been proved by playing Mundy off a half back flank. No body has really criticised this move, it is similar to what I have said about Fyfe. Play him at CHF. When I said that every one downed me.
With Fyfe our, Mundy should have become our best mid to take his place, but we played him at HB.
We need Sandi back and firing,But I am not sure he will play again this season. His surgeon has asked to hold him back for another 6 weeks I believe.Makes about round 15 or 16.Is it worth while him coming back?
Sorry off track re the topic.
