I hate that Laird is unlikely again. Apparently trained quite strongly but still missing.

Thought considering the Crows have played 5 of the top 7 teams and only winning one of those games, that they'd rush him in this week against the Giants even if it was a line ball decision. Feel that he is a better chance than that but they don't wanna risk reinjury.
Ah well, with Laird the Crows are a chance considering theyre at home, without... Giants all the way

Why do people think laird is unlikely to play?
havent heard anything about him anywhere

Have a heard a couple of times on local radio that he is doubtful. Apparently trained for the first time yesterday but the club think he might be a bit underdone for the weekend.

Marcus Adams still on the injury list as 1-2 weeks. Hope that's wrong!

What date does it say last updated though?  :-\
Dated May 24th. AFL website injury list.
It's outdated dw.   Suckers is still listed as 2 weeks on it as well.

the fact we havent had an article saying laird will play means he probably wont be.

Impossible. It would be like all parts of your golf game going well in the one round. Never going to happen.

This was posted yesterday. Basically it depends on how he pulled up today and whether they think he has done enough training. From reading this, I say it sounds unlikely he'll play.

Adelaide Crows wait to make call on defender Rory Laird’s fitness
May 25, 2016 6:13pm
SCOTT WALSH The Advertiser

ADELAIDE will decide tomorrow morning whether to recall rebounding defender Rory Laird for Saturday night’s pivotal clash with Greater Western Sydney at Adelaide Oval.

The Crows’ selection committee met today to shape the squad it will use against the flying Giants, who have beaten Hawthorn and the Western Bulldogs in a six-game winning streak.

But coach Don Pyke said it would hold fire on a decision until today over Laird, who has missed the past three games including successive losses to the Western Bulldogs and Geelong with a fractured toe.

The backline barometer trained with teammates today and Pyke said the final call would hinge on how Laird responded to the workload.

“He trained (yesterday) morning with us,” Pyke said.

“He’s another who’s on the edge of return. We’ve just got a decision on Rory as to whether the break he’s had allows him enough training to be ready to go come Saturday, or whether he might need a bit of extra time.

“We’ll talk about that and see how he pulls up (this) morning as well â€" how he’s feeling after (yesterday’s) session.”

North Melbournes Finest

Hopefully Pyke is just making it harder for GWS to game plan for Adelaide and he's sure that Laird is playing. If you take his words as the truth I'd still say he's 50/50 not unlikely, it's just saying they're waiting to see how he pulls up not that his fitness is low.
