just looking at westbrook trades now

Thunder receive: Jae Crowder, Avery Bradley, Jaylen Brown, Nets 2018 first-round pick
Celtics receive: Russell Westbrook

Thunder receive: Goran Dragic, Justise Winslow, Josh Richardson
Heat receive: Russell Westbrook, Andre Roberson

Thunder receive: Brandon Ingram, D’Angelo Russell
Lakers receive: Russell Westbrook

The heat probably gives him the greatest chance to win now with Wade, Bosh, Whiteside but I think Celtics would be the best move.

Thomas Westbrook Horford is a might fine big 3. lots of assets to build around too.
Celtics one is overs for Westbrook.

Problem with trading for Westbrook if you're a long term team is that it's hard to see him being close to this effective past 30 and you would want assurances on whether he'd be re-signing when you trade for him. A Heat trade makes sense tho

Thats a pretty showerty deal for the Celts. Don't need someone in the skill set of Russell, but you can't say no to a star like him. It does have to fit your team though. Like I've said before, if your best player is a PG, its very hard to win champs. before you say BUT STEPH IS A PG, everyone knows Steph isnt a true PG...

and everyone knows that championship was tainted anyway :P

I think this year proves its hard to win with your best player being a PG.

now they should romp it home with the best player being a 6-10 lanky SF.

I don't think the Heat have even been mentioned as a potential destination for Westbrook.
The one that pops up the most is the Lakers. Russ being from La

I'd rather not give up Winslow but if they wont deal without getting him go for broke

I'd bank on Riley being able to sell the city and the franchise to Westbrook well enough to keep his signature...

Westbrook
Wade
Who cares
Bosh
Whiteside

Thunder receive: Trey Lyles, Rodney Hood, Joe Ingles, Oklahoma City’s 2018 first-round pick (from Enes Kanter trade)
Jazz receive: Russell Westbrook

Lol at that offer ::)

Cookie311993

From what Ive read. Max contract offer. If he declines he will be traded for assets

R.Griffen

Thunder receive: Brandon Ingram, D’Angelo Russell
Lakers receive: Russell Westbrook
No way Lakers take that. Westbrook will be with LA year after anyway

This Bosh thing is really killing us, we cant play him, we cant trade him but we have to pay him ::)

I've had some time to think about it now. Saw the news at about 3:30 this morning and couldn't get another wink of sleep - this is the craziest thing to happen to the NBA I think maybe ever. A 73 win team adding a top 3 player without losing any of their best 3. Yes the Warriors will be awesome, but we already knew that, this is taking it to another level. This is the greatest basketball team ever assembled. How are teams supposed to compete when Golden State are trotting out the Olympic team?

KD earned the right to be a free agent, he gave amazing service to Oklahoma City. If leaving was best for him, then no one can have a problem with that at all. But for the sake of the league did it really have to be the Warriors.. I know that its a great place, and who wouldn't want to play there.. But as an NBA diehard this is a disaster. No one in the west can compete with this team. Maybe Cleveland can win a couple of games in the finals if Golden State are injured but that's about it. People will say that the Heat didn't win in their first year together, but this is on another level to that team. LBJ and Wade both needed the ball to be effective and there wasn't much shooting - they needed a while to figure it out. This team, everyone can just be themselves. KD is used to playing with a high volume guard, Curry can be the best off-ball threat in the league, Klay is a sniper, and Draymond can be their 3rd creator and obviously elite on D. No one should say "Oh but they lost Barnes, Bogut and Ezeli", those guys are trash and can be replaced at a far less cost. Look, they already got Pachulia for a bargain. Barnes is basically Brandon Rush. And there will surely be some more veterans coming to join this team. They lost next to nothing in order to pull this off, and might not even pay the luxury tax this year!

Can't say I feel too sorry for OKC. They've had a very good run. Just when you didn't think the Harden trade could look any worse, it does. You'd say Durant stays if Harden is there. Heck you might even say that if they had turned the two first round picks they gave up for Waiters and Kanter for a competent 3 and D guy, he could have stayed. They hired a rookie head coach, who I know coached excellently - but they didn't exact resemble a team going all out to keep their best player. I mean, they just made a trade a week ago that makes their team worse this year! Hopefully they do the smart thing and trade Russ before he bolts. Hey OKC, here is Jaylen Brown, Marcus Smart and Brooklyn's first round pick!

I can't blame him for leaving, or going to Golden State, the macro result of it though is just a shame.

FFS - The Mavs just signed Seth Curry for $6M over 2 years.  Kings could have easily covered that.. WTF

Mavs gonna sign Jason Thompson and Gerald Green. Roll out a lineup of Curry, Thompson, Barnes, Green, Bogut.

I just wonder if OKC won the title would he have stayed or would he still have went to GSW...

It would be disappointing if the way this post season played out was a key ingredient in this move, if SA beat OKC and then GSW and then the Cavs would he have chosen SA, or any other way you dice it, did it effect his decision?

I'd like to hear he was still going regardless of any outcome, im really interested to catch his press conference, id hope he will answer honestly but even if he doesnt it will be good to get a read on the way he conducts himself, to see visibly how much residual weight he is carrying on his shoulders from the decision and the backlash of it.

If they were an 8th seed in the west and hadnt won a title it wouldnt be as big of a deal as it is, is it the style? or a ring grab? we can all see why he would want to play for the GSW, that style suits his game perfectly, if he comes out and says the right things about the move im cool with it...

Good spot for lil Curry, will get a chance to start

Geez, now rumours coming out that Wade is going to the Cavs?!?  Possible sign and trade for Love!  :o

Westbrook and Love are best mates, Riley could be up to something here...Westbrook, Bosh, Love, Whiteside...little top heavy so don't think it will happen, but but insurance if Bosh can't play.
