KD to the Warriors.
Guys, it looks like we'll be watching the greatest basketball team ever for the next 5+ years.

How the flower can the Dubs afford to pay him??
Didn't they also just offer qualifyings to Barnes & Ezeli?? :-o

Jay

The only way to deal with this is using sarcastic humour. Sick of superstars changing teams to form dynasties, Brandon Jennings taking his talents to New York!? Smh.

They've offloaded Bogut and Barnes to Dallas, so that helps

KD's deal is just for 2 years too. 54M

In other news.  Pau Gasol to the Spurs, so now they are looking to deal out Diaw

Something has to give at the Kings in the SF spot

Gay - $13.3M, $14.2M
Casspi - $2.9M
Butler - 1.5M
Barnes - $6M, $6M

Gay has been linked to Indiana a lot this trade period and he has always been in trade discussions.  His contract seems like the one that needs to go.

Casspi is a steal at his price and his 3pt shooting has improved out of site.

Butler provides great depth and locker room presence... plus his contract is sweet.

Caron Butler has just been waived.  Likely to see him sitting on the end of the bench for a finals bound team.

Very Surprised in both the warriors and Durrant

1. Shows the warriors arent the greatest team or where a dynasty as they felt they needed to break up there team droping Barnes a guy they drafted and bogut a guy who has been around for all their success. Obvisouly felt they needed to bring in a top 5 guy.

2. Durrant going to a team that can win a championship without him, shows that he isnt a superstar, he might not even be the best player in his team. He could have moved to anyone even the spurs besides the cavs and warrirors. Would have prefered him go to the celtics and be the guy to get them the ring. any championship he gets now comes under question marks.

3. This is nothing like Lebron going to Miami, i keep hearing this. The warriors can win the ring without him. Take Lebron off miami and im not sure they even make it to the conference finals. Wade was a superstar but his body was on the decline and never the same. Steph is a two time MVP.  Bosh is a great 3rd man but I would take Green over him. Not to mention Klay is the best or second best spot up shooter in the league. Miamia hadnt just made the finals back to back and were coming off a 73 win series.

All Ill say is this. I dont even care if Lebron wins next year as long as its not the warriors. For the first time I have a team i dislike more and im a KD fan. The spurs look deadly with pau and I really hope they can take them out. Cavs always have a chance given they have the best player in the world and an emerging superstar in Irving.

What im really excited about is Westbrook, my tip for MVP. He will go absolutely insane, i think he has a shot to prove he is a. better then durrant b. best point guard in the league.

This has been by far the most challenging few weeks in my professional life. I understood cognitively that I was facing a crossroads in my evolution as a player and as a man, and that it came with exceptionally difficult choices. What I didn’t truly understand, however, was the range of emotions I would feel during this process.

The primary mandate I had for myself in making this decision was to have it based on the potential for my growth as a player â€" as that has always steered me in the right direction. But I am also at a point in my life where it is of equal importance to find an opportunity that encourages my evolution as a man: moving out of my comfort zone to a new city and community which offers the greatest potential for my contribution and personal growth. With this in mind, I have decided that I am going to join the Golden State Warriors.

The cap jumped 24 mil and Steph and Draymond are on sub market value contracts. So all they had to do was rescind the QO for Barnes, move off Bogut who has a good contract and let Ezeli go. The cap number is so ridiculous that they don't have to move Livingston either.

They just brought in Zaza for 2.9 mil and I expect the ring chasers to be lining up to take the minimum

So to grow as a player you join a ready made championship team to back up a MVP.

Doesn't it allow the least potential for his contribution given they can win without him?

I would say its moving into a comfortable zone, the only thing that is true is that its a new city.

I am salty I was a big KD fan, the guy deserves a ring. Im not sure if the foot is affecting him that much but he could have won without doing this.

Maybe he was frustrated with westbrook, thats fair enough but go to a team like the celtics. Got two young all stars, a great coach and fantastic defense mentality. The difference your the man, you brought the champinship. Like Lebron did in Miami and Cleveland.

Now he is just a passenger aboard the warrior bandwagon.

I would give anything to see OKC take them down.

KD just turned from one of my favorite players to one of my most disliked.

^This.  I've been checking all morning for MVP odds to come out, but nada.  He is going to put up some insane numbers next year and prob breaking some records.

I'm also very disappointed with KD's move to the Warriors, he's tweeted in the past about players going to stronger teams to make big 3's etc so he's become a massive hypocrite in my book.  Is/was my fave player since OKC began as a team.

Pau Gasol has gone to Spurs and Timmy D is considering retirement after both transactions.   :'(
