nother rumored trade has been Jah and the Lakers pick Philly hold for Ingram. It allows them to get the two top prospects in what is perceived as a 2 player draft giving them a core of Simmons, Ingram, Embiid, Saric and Noel. You also have your role players like Grant, RoCo etc and another two late first round picks to add your shooters.

If Philly can get the above done they are set. Ingram wont take that much of the ball but can score. I dont care if its Okafor their late 1st rounder (26)

Simmons Ish Ingram Sairc Noel/Embiid looks great.

then pick up Timothe Luwawu as a SG/SF

The more I watch and read about Dragan Bender, the more I love him as a prospect. Someone please stop me before I say he belongs with Ingram in the 'slightly worse than Simmons' tier  :-X

Unless a trade for a legit all-star comes up (So no, not Okafor), keep the 3rd pick, and draft Bender.

If Philly were to get pick 3 Bender is the BPA, they wouldn't pick him up though because it is another big man. It makes absolutely no sense for both teams to make the trade and Boston would have to give up more then 3 to get Jah anyway.
On a side note, Bender and Noel would be awesome together.

Checked out a bit of Chriss and Skal tape and it's convincing me a good place to be is around 6 and have your choice of those two guys as well as Poeltl and Davis who I have no idea about at this stage.

@Jay wondering if you have watched footage of all of Dunn, Hield and Murray. If the Celtics don't trade their pick, who is your favourite? My biased of loving college ball I had Hield as the better player but he should be as it was his senior year. Just my point of view between Murray and Dunn is Murray has better shooting ability but Dunn just kept impressing me every time I watched him play.

My order
Hield
Dunn
Murray

Yeah I watched those 3 guys among the other top prospects to see who I want Boston to take. Out of those guys, I'd order it:
Dunn
Murray
Hield

I know Boston already has a heap of guards, and a number of those who can't really shoot. But I'm a firm believer in taking the best player available. I really liked what I saw from Dunn, he reminds me so much of Westbrook. I think he has a high ceiling and a relatively high floor with his potential on both ends of the court. He's got all the physical gifts, I think in the Brad Stevens system he could evolve into a really good player.

Murray and Hield I see as very similar prospects, except that Hield is older. What Murray did as a freshman is more impressive than what Hield did as a senior imo. They both are great shot-makers, and both are limited on defense. I prefer Murray given he has so much more room for development.

Yeah Murray was has so much room he showed lots of potential I just didn't rate him as highly not sure why though. Hield really doesn't have defence that hurts him but if needed can contribute more than Murray can right away. But you don't draft just for 1 year.

Did think the same about Dunn bounces around nicely I just wonder how good he can get

Surely Murray has a lot of defensive potential as a PG due to his height/wingspan?

As long as he plays the point, only reason was due to Ulis at UK. But yes the numbers look great so I suppose that means something

Saw a bit of the chat in the NBA thread. OKC in my mind need 1 or 2 things. Either way this kinda fixes an issues, A shooter or a ball handler. This only works if KD is staying

I would be trading Adams or Kanter both hold huge value atm. This plus whatever to go after a scoring SG like Hield in the draft or for the player to even be on an NBA list eg Ellis. This allows Westbrook to take the ball and have x player/KD/Ibaka/ on the outside to pass to or he can create his own shot. With either Kanter or Adams down low. This means you don't need 60 a night from Westbrook and KD as 40 between them plus a 15-20 from a scoring SG should hold up with the other pieces they already have. This means Waiters isn't relied on being a main option but just a pinch hitter

The other suggestion was a true point guard, no scoring involved but takes 90% of the ball handling with the speed, agility and size of Westbrook, Durant and Ibaka setting screens and whatever should be able to free themselves up in current day NBA like Curry, Thompson and Barnes etc do.

I really think the draft is the best place for it to happen

Finally got around to watching some Marquese Chriss. I like him. I think he has the most upside at 3 for Boston with his impressive offensive skill-set.

I have him as my #2 for our pick, just slightly behind Bender.
