I won't even be surprised if GSW lose still. I assume this means Klay Thompson's role is stepped down less.
C'mon man.. Klay's numbers might take a dip, someone's have to, but do you know how powerful it is having a guy who hits 43% of his threes at an insanely high volume is? Klay can beat you without even touching the ball. It's like having prime Reggie Miller or Ray Allen with Steph and KD. Except, he's also an excellent defender.

Klay is a pretty bad defender, or the role that hes playing. All im saying is, we are going to see a Klay who isnt going to be as good as ever. I just think it makes them more 1 dimensional then they already are. Wouldn't surprise me to see this sort of game style just fall flat on its face.

What exactly is there to appreciate apart from such a ridiculous team being put together?

The regular season will just be a formality to see who gets a chance at 2nd place in the finals.  How can this team not win now, they have 4 players who are arguably in the prime of their careers and all they had to offload was Bogut and Barnes.

I'll still appreciate watching games and watching exciting players, but god damn, there is no competition left.  Take me back to the days when teams had 1-2 superstars who had to bust their arses to make playoffs and win a title because MJ was in the way.  I know it's the way things are heading with big market teams stacking their side, but I'd rather see a team who couldn't get it done the year before come out the next year, work harder and find a way to win off their own back rather than adding someone like Durant.  Weak is the only word that comes to mind.

Klay a Pretty bad defender? Serious? The way I see it Klay will have more points in the paint/layups. His shots especially, should be more uncontested as even when Durant was at OKC we see defenders panic

If anyone's PPG drops it will be Green imo

Has KD put pen to paper officially?  Imagine he trolled GSW, did a Deandre and went back to OKC whilst GSW let Barnes and Bogut go for nothing.  A guy can dream huh.  :-[

Im absolutely salivating at the possibilities...

Sort the Bosh contract, free up cap room to sign or re-sign a star

Trade Wade for Love, instantly makes us a younger balanced team and gives Richardson and Winslow more minutes to develop

Trade Dragic and pieces for Westbrook to make a Westbrook, Love, Whiteside trio
Who plays the wings if Winslow goes in the trade? Deng, Green, Johnson all gone, maybe Richardson too.

Tell ya what tho, I feel like dominant big men may be the way to combat the Warriors next year. Really muscle them on the boards ala Adams in the WCF. Whiteside + Love (and potentially Bosh) would be those dudes.

With Durant's move I find myself barracking for every team to be as good as possible. Somebody's gotta take it up to them! I may have declared basketball dead in the heat of the moment earlier today
After giving it more thought my preference is the Love trade with Wade and not going after Westbrook

I like the idea of Richardson and Winslow getting a full season in a fresh system that doesn't revolve around Wade's style, something that allows Dragic to play his natural game and Love gets back to being a main guy, most importantly though we get a really good look at what Richardson and Winslow can or cant become.

If we traded away Richardson and Winslow to get Westbrook with zero draft picks this year and limited next year we could free fall.

What is it that should be appreciated exactly, man? Yes they are going to be the best team ever and will be amazing to watch - must see viewing. But we saw something pretty close to that last year.. The considerable difference in talent level between them and every other team they face is bound to get old sometime in the next 5 years..

I would love that, warriors would be screwed.

That would only serve to make things worse imo, what is to stop players with no intention of leaving tying up a rival teams money

Wouldn't screw them what so ever imo? You know how much cap room they got for moving Bogut on plus not paying Barnes max contract as he isn't worth it

Majority of the NBA players want to play for winning teams they would have players left right and centre wanting to play for them

What I'm hoping for is KD to go to the Warriors, win his championship, then opt-out and go home, signing on with Washington. That's the only legit hope I've got to avoid three-plus years of total dominance from one team.

It is true that initially it seems daunting but this isn't like the 60's Celtics - The NBA is so much smarter collectively and it will put massive pressure on teams to keep up, which should raise the standard and progress the game even further. I know people will disagree but I can't say for certain that the playoffs would have been as awesome as they were if teams weren't forced to change - stylistically or otherwise -  because of the Warriors' brilliance.

Either way, we should (Albeit anything can happen) see basketball played at heights we've never seen, like those Celtics teams and MJ's Bulls did. Obviously we appreciate those great teams now so I'd like to hear why people think this should be treated differently.

Comes last in steals, Defensive rating, defensive winshares and defensive box plus minus against 6 other top SG including DeRozan, Allen, Butler, Bradley... Comes first in 1 defensive stat, which is blocking, simply because he is the tallest of the bunch.

So yeah....
