The man with two first names killed it last night in a BOG display picking up a lazy 40 possessions and 148 SC pts for his efforts.
Priced at 505k, having lost over 57 k from the start of the year and a BE of 53 he is ripe for the picking.
Saints draw opens up a bit now and with 6 out of 9 100s Steven hasn't been horrible. The 60 v NM was but he wouldn't be cheap without it. I wanted Lachie Neale but at the price you can't go past Steven. With Oliver having a corkie and in doubt with the 6 day turn a round I'm definitely upgrading to Jack this week. His scores from round 10 last year were first class.

The reason I wouldn't look at him is he isn't clean by foot. He was one of my better picks last year because I started with him, but he can be a bit of a turnover machine which is why there was an 8 point difference last year between his DT and SC.

Just Say No.

Go Ollie up to a real premo mate.

Judd Magic

Steven is more of a DT player than SC IMO.

Pass!

Ikr. Ollie is killing me. Gotta keep him so I can blame it on him haha. To think for 20 or 30k more I could've started Parker.
For Wines I can only get Hannebery, Parker, Ward or Neale. not sure it's worth it.  :P
I say that tongue in cheek of course but I've been playing this game long enough to know sideways trades usually come at a cost.
Wines has had one big score, nothing like I'd envisioned. I've pondered over trading him but had others to deal with. If I trade him it'll likely be for Neale as I'm coming from a long way back and Hannebery is popular amongst the good teams and whilst I don't wish him an injury I wouldn't mind seeing him flop a bit. He flopped last year after I traded him and I'm hopeful his average will come down...might be wishing thinking though.

Yeah iv seen a few Port games this year and Ollie has been very ordinary indeed, but as you say ''sideways/luxury'' trade really,
all 4 of those blokes you mentioned are class.

Yeah I've seen a few Port games too. Gotta agree. Thanks for advice. It'll be painful to do but I am thinking about it.

Edit: Not getting Steven or Neale anymore. Robbie Gray will come into my team this week instead (was getting him next week anyway), Wines will stay and I open the way to get ruck cover instead next week as with Goldy being iced up I think I could need it.

For a thread about Steven, Ollies name seems common :P

Realistically what do we think this guy can average for the rest of the year? And is he worth a punt over someone like Neale/Selwood?

107.4

No

But he will prob play one more game so his average will be his average whereas the other guys will have a fill in for their bye.

essendon2

I'm picking him up this week. 7/11 games at Etihad too 8)

Sloane is another option too

HotTiges

Great POD but I'm thinking he's a bit of a flat tracker..scores well against lower end teams but struggles against the quality sides..

JBs-Hawks

If he was 70k cheaper id be all over.

They play Geelong, GC, Dons, Melbourne, Footscray, North, Carlton, Sydney, Richmond, and Brisbane to end the season - 4 top-8 teams compared to 6 bottom-10 sides, including the teams who are currently 13th and 17th on the ladder the last two weeks of the season. Definitely has the fixture to help him out after this week!

He's averaging 110, 130 in the last 5 games. Jump on!

I agree. He's way too pricey now sorting at $595k which means you would be selecting him above guys like hanners neale sloane etc. Not enough value for money. In saying that, applause to those who picked him up at low 500s. Has been brilliant recently
