Seems like they gave their best players a break.. I'm not convinced, if he's named I'm all over Priddis. Has an easy draw, hugely underpriced and could easily average 110+ from here

I understand the reasoning, getting someone you think can average 110+ for 500k is decent, but I think you've also gotta consider the bigger picture that there's still a lot of the seaon to go, so having someone cheaper who scores you 110 per week still leaves you a lot of points behind by paying more for someone who can get 115 points per week. Gray @ 514k this week and BE 135 should go down to around the same price next week, and I rate his scoring capacity better. Jelwood 570k and BE 200 this week should also drop a fair bit over the next two weeks.

Priddis: 159,79, DNP, 117, 87, 75, 77, 123, 112
Gray: 126, 129, 123, 74, 53, DNP, DNP, DNP, 120
Jelwood: 105, 70, 142, 100, 144, 138, 132, 69, 72

I don't think Priddis is a bad option, but I think Gray next week is better, and a cheaper Jelwood in a couple is also pretty decent. If you're struggling in your mids maybe you'd look to pick up all three, but I reckon Priddis is the worst option of those when you look at their scores.

Pendles mate for your decision I think it becomes a case of short vs long term. If you don't bring Priddis in, who plays on the field? Assuming it's BenKen still, you've gotta judge whether the points difference you lose this week can be made up or bettered by waiting. Priddis might have a day out against the suns, but I think you'd have to back the points difference to be >50 to really think about it... And is there anywhere else you might need investment that could be more worthy?

Hmm I get the logic.. Kind of.
Depends if you're keen on selwood this year.. I'm not.
But fact is Priddis is a bargain.
110 pts per game as opposed to 115 pts per game you'll get out of a Ward, Hanners, Neale etc and you're paying 70-80k less..
Remember that each $50k in this game is 10 pts per game which means that you can use that extra $50k to boost another area.
For example you get 10 pts extra per game out of a forward and loose only 5 pts per gone with Priddis rather than going to a selwood

The numbers are much more indicative of a consistent season but Priddis has started slowly before and then hit his straps. West Coast also more likely to win games. I'm pretty torn on this one, could go the double downgrade this week and hold off on Priddis, then pick Gray up next week.

priddis clearly had an injury holding him back. But now there is talk that that injury is back and he could be a possible out. He probably will play but thats not great for his scoring.

something that scares me is that he got the 9th most contested possesions in a game and 10 tackles and only scored 110. Honslty thats terible.

gray basically got as many possesions but only 10 less conteseted, same amount of tackles and outscored him with 118.

I don't think it's as simple as saying 50k = 10ppg. Because of the way the prices work, price is only ever reflective of average score at the start of the season. Eg right now Goldy is 574k averaging 118.8, Pendles is 645k averaging 119.6. 0.8ppg difference on score, 71k difference in price. Just because of their recent history. It's more important to assess what you think a player can do, based on how they've performed in the past and any other info you have, and that comes down to gut really... I don't think Priddis has been inspiring this season, if not for a huge first game he'd be averaging under 100 and I don't think people would even be talking about him to be honest. But he could be a storming POD for those who get him, just not the way I'm seeing it ;)

Yeah Holz I'm with you that the collection of good scores Gray has makes him much more appealing to me, don't think Priddis is worth it if we aren't sure he's 100%. In saying all this, I could see myself sideways trading Ablett out for Priddis if they both maintain their recent form :P

pendles93

Yeah I see your points and that is why I brought it up rather than just going for it...
Priddis is normally that player that just doesn't let you down though and the way Gaz is going as well as having JEL already he might be a good pick at 500k for that solid 110 score.

With Priddis in this week Libba is my m8 going by price so I'm basically done. Tippa & Byrne in Def and Kerridge & Petracca in Fwd left to go.
