Zorko or Montagna

Season defining trade here.
I think Zorko is overpriced and won't continue to average 115+ in a poor team
Montagna represents great value but his bye round is concerning

I predict that after my next three weeks of trades, in regards to bye rounds I'll have:
Rd 13 - 11 players out
Rd 14 - 12 players out
Rd 15 - 7 players out

Keeping in mind that it's the best 18 scores I'll need a max of 12 players out per week.
Obviously I could do some sideways trading but not ideal..

Should I play it safe and go Zorko? Or risk copping a donut (if I'm holding injuries or rookies that aren't playing) in rd 13 and go with Montagna?

They're pretty close, but I'd say Zorks is the better option. The better bye for you should seal the deal too

Yeah I'm leaning that way but with so many Brisbane players out now you'd think that teams would start to put some work/tag Zorko.. Do people think he'll play on ball all year?
Last week also concerned me. 4 goals were great but only 19 touches from memory.. If he kicks 1.3 it's a sub 100 score...
Can any st Kildare supporters shed some light on Joey and his role for the rest of the year?

If my aunty had a penis she'd be my uncle...

Ifs and buts, but Zork hasn't gone under 100 yet, and will be a top 6 forward so I wouldn't worry too much

Blues Blues Blues

I want Zorko, but can only afford Montagna.

Yeah I'm still deciding between Zorko, Montagna,  Martin or Z Merrett. Not sure yet who to get!

RaisyDaisy

I'm passing on Montagna simply because I can't see him playing 22, where as Dusty and Zorko will barring injury

+1 here!

Tags is playing off half back and will be used quite a bit however he will miss a couple more games for the year.

Zorko is a gun! Yes he can go missing but not going under 100 yet is a good sign he is maturing well. I honestly think he should be fine! He is a goal kicking midfielder like parker and should be strongly consider this week!

I myself am trading barlow to zorko!

Jimmykidd

was originally thinking joey but his r13 bye sucks. going barlow > zorko now  8)

North Melbournes Finest

Zorko has been playing wing. I don't know why even with rocky and beams in the team I think he's their most damaging mid. Hopefully now Beams and Rocky are out he's back in there.

Surely you get the logic though?
18 touches is very low for a guy playing mainly midfield..
Yes I completely agree he is going to be a top 6 forward along with Deledio, Montagna, Martin, Hall, Dahlhaus. But the fact remains he is overpriced and won't continue his 115+ average..
Still very much 50/50 on this..

To be fair, the rest of his team didn't show up until after half time. The scoreline was 64-0 at one point, for him to get 20 touches and kick 4 goals is quite amazing in such a 1-sided affair.

I have Zorko and balancing between Merrett n Montagna n Martin
Montagna bye does not suit, plus injury/rest risk ... (injury risk ... hahaha just look at my current list)

Martin -  last 3 av 120.0 Price = $538.4K BE 86 - round 13 bye - Docker, Ess, NM, GC, BL, PA
Merrett - last 3 av 108.7 Price = $496.0K BE 59 - round 14 bye - StK, Ric, Docker, Haw GWS WCE

Reckon Dusty maybe the best fit for me - has gone big against all these teams
Merrett is POD only 9.3% ownership - having someone on the field seems to be a POD this week :)
