Hill minor injury - confident he will play
Harley Bennell - small hiccup, will update later
Youngsters learning all the time, its a growth mindset for them
Will persist with Weller, Blakely (more midfield time to continue)
Dawson & Barlow under consideration for Saturday
High praise for Alex Pearce - he is our standout defender
Taberner - really coming through, looked better in last couple of weeks
Most likely to go with 2 ruckman this weekend
Mundy may spend more time in the backline - allows others to spend more time in the midfield.
Yarran - minor calf injury and will be cautious with his return

hmm under consideration doesnt sound great for barlow.

Mundy spending more time in the backline to allow others more mid is promising though. I hope its not just walters

Blakely & Weller have been tagged for more midfield time.  Maybe Langdon & Tucker may get some more time there as the season progresses.

I understand that some times you just have to plug holes to keep the water in, but playing Mundy off half back doesn't seem right to me.At the moment or when he is fully fit and with Fyfe out, he is our best mid.Why waste him off half back!!
Last year and the year before I argued that Fyfe should play as a forward, I was howled for for taking our best mid and maybe the best in the competition out, and playing him forward.Surely the same logic applies here.Playing back you might save game ,playing forward you win games, and that is what it is all about.
Yet another set back for Bennell. Just what is going on with him.Just how many "small" set backs can a player have. Will we ever see him on the park wearing the Purple?
Sooner we get out of Fremantle oval the better. I am a firm believer that the ground is far too hard due to the lime stone base, for players legs.We suffer a large number of calf injuries.
I am convinced that Barlow will play this week.I just don't think Lyon wanted him to fly to Tassie last week. But he wanted him to play a game to keep his fitness up.
Dawson MUST play. I know a lot don't like him, but at the moment he is the only back man that we have that is a true full back.He can punch when it is needed. We needed spoilers last week, but we had a load who wanted to mark.He must play.

And also agree on both

Whether Barlow is with us after this year tho, well i'm not so sure

I agree with you about Barlow, though I am not sure he has a great deal of value for a trade.Maybe the Suns could look at him, but don't see much future for him at another club.He has always been slow, but he seems slower now that before.
If Apeness plays well for Peel this week he must be played as a big forward. I am not sure just how much time he spent on the ground for Peel last week, but if he is as good as Lyon says, and what I have been told, we must play him.We need a big brutal forward to come up for us.Supposedly , he fits the bill.

valkorum

You do remember that Mundy played his first 100 games (or so) as a defender

anchorman

Not worried about that, he at the present moment is still our best mid.He must play there. With out Fyfe we are headless there.Mundy is a ball magnet in there.

he can play down back but you guys need mids. If Barlow does not play then there is no way that mundy can be played down back. If not then your really just trying to minimise losing by alot instead of trying to win. I say walters barlow neale in the engine room then you can have mundy 50/50 across half back and inside.

elephants

Nah keep Mundy on halfback until round 12 then get him on ball as the young kids tire.

Sounds perfect to me!
