Mills to Mcpherson and Papley to Zorko

Adams, Laird, Ablett, Wells and probably Barlow all on the bench. Holding Wells for now, hopefully he's back in a week or two

If Davis misses again I am considering Davis to Keays this week

AND then grabbing Mathieson on the bubble.

I like the idea of 2 Lions on the pine for their combined JS.

Swoozie

I can just barely play 18 if all three of Hall, Barlow and Wells miss. So I'm sticking with my structured trades of Papley and Menapoo to MacPherson and the Zork.

I'm too far back in overall anyway, so if I have to take the league loss this week for the benefit of saving trades I'll do it.

Mundy or Priddis? Just worried about Priddis outside of WA

Priddis still struggling with injury right?

Reckon I'm gonna pass on MacPherson at this stage, I'd rather Hopper and Mathieson in the coming weeks and no one will be ready to trade in to pick up Mathieson if I grab Mac this week.

At the moment I'm going -

Brown - Brand

Barlow - Docherty

Obviously depends on whether Barlow is back or not. I lose my fwd/def dpp but I'm not too fussed about that at this stage.

Am I missing something on Docherty?
He's a half back flanker who relies on others to get him the ball, is priced at over $500k and in a team which won't win many more games this year.. Don't get me wrong he will most likely average 90+ but way too expensive for the risk involved...

Yeah I don't trust Docherty with one of my premium spots yet. I'm happy to wait a few weeks and pick the best 2 of Rance, McVeigh & Docherty.

Never been a Gibson fan. Too up & down.

Got a cheaper defender you recommend?

McVeigh and Laird both represent better value but you'd have to wait another week for both. Mcveigh (got a BE of 120+) and Laird injuried. It depends on your team and whether or not you're going to cop a donut in the backs this week..
But personally there is so much better value in the forwards and mids this week for the same price as Docherty i.e. Priddis $496k Montagna $530k Merret $497k will all average more than Docherty from here on... Just don't see the sense in it...

I tend to agree. If you can't afford Shaw or Simpson (both basically fully priced anyway), then I don't think this is the week to bring in a premium defender. There is much more value on other lines.

tommy10

Already have Simmo so won't get Docherty. Rance is still expensive at the moment and Gibbo is too up and down. So the value for me here is Bartel. In good form atm 3 round avg of 110 and 5 round avg of 97.

Have to field Brown/Brand if I don't bring a def premo in. Already have Laird and Bartel, don't want McVeigh, has shown no form at all, don't want Gibbo, too up and down. There's nothing wrong with Docherty as a pick.

Doesn't Docherty play on the wing for Carlton even though listed as a SC defender ??  Carltons next two are Nth Melb and then Geelong. I pick him up after that before they play Bris and StKilda. Their last games v  St K   Bris   Melb   and   Ess ,,  those are our Supercoach Finals games and so to me Docherty is very, very appealing.  Just really a matter of when to get him in,  and what price to pay     :) ;) 8)

Docherty played Essendon a few weeks ago. Scored 79.

I'll also see how he goes against North & Cats before making a decision.
