I know it is a joke, but funny about us.We get told Lyon doesn't play kids and will kill the club.We play kids, we are tanking.!!!!!!!!
I can't work it out.
I am also waiting for the drunk driving jokes this week.If we lose that is.

Most of it is tongue in cheek mate I would imagine. It's more to do with people venting frustration over their fantasy situation than what Freo/Ross is doing.
If people were to step back and say hey if this was the team I supported what would I want the coach doing, personally I think Freo are going about it the right way, the season is all but flowered so play as many on the list as possible find out who is worth keeping and who isn't, rest those that need it to get them through the year if required.

I'd simply ignore the tanking jibes, what's important is what is best for the club long term that's all that really matters.
If ladder position means nothing to the club now and it shouldn't then play the kids and get the best draft position available, kill two birds with one stone so to speak. Why not plenty of other clubs have done it in the past why climb all over Freo for doing similar the club would be silly not to in my opinion. Wether we like it or not the shortest route to a rebuild is the best possible draft picks.

The AFL can jack up and question Freo's motives but in all honesty Freo's answers would be we need to know who on our list can cut it, we want games into the kids were keeping and the older guys aren't part of the plan moving forward, what the hell could the AFL say to that bar ok sounds reasonable enough to us carry on.

I wish the Crows had done it when we were rebuilding because finishing 13th 14th etc doesn't help you much at all when it comes to accessing the best talent available. Use the system to your advantage not the other way round. Wether people like it or not that's the truth of it. The system encourages it really.

Let those that have a drama with it build a bridge, it's not like the club doesn't pay a price for doing it they do, attendance drops off, membership drops off which means money earned drops off etc etc you don't get anything for nothing ever in this business there's always a cost to bare in order to get access to the best talent available. Short term pain for long term gain.

Yep well said mate and i know, thats why i haven't bitten.
Some is pure SC venting and others actually have no idea how it actually works in real life.

Majority would be venting I reckon mate. Iv'e got Barlow in SC/DT am I annoyed yeh I am but i'm annoyed at the situation the club finds itself in and where that leaves me not at the club or the coach. Lets face it the club and it's welfare is far more important than my fantasy team, that's the reality of it all.  Look at it this way if Ross was to do the right thing by us fantasy coaches he would 100% deserve to be sacked on the spot wouldn't he.

By the way quick question Rico has Barlow been named for his WAFL club do you know yet ?
My gut is telling me he'll be back next week but if he has been named then maybe i'm wrong.

Grazz, great post.Love it.It just annoys me at time. Most of it come from the other lot here. The silver spoon brigade.Guess you know who I am referring to.
Yes BArlow has been named in the centre for Peel, Fremantle alignment club.
Also the long awaited debut of Michael Apeness. He has been injured for most of his time with us.Saturday is his first senior game.
Also playing for Peel and in their first season are youngster Uebegang and Nyhuis. Both are supposedly going to be good players for us.

Yep he's named for Peel

Fact is he's well below his best. My thinking is Ross is facing an unwinnable game against the Hawks down there anyway, without Fyfe/Sandi/Pav/Johnson. Basically a free hit at giving the whole senior group a warning by dropping a couple of his favourites. Give them a rocket and bring them back next week after they (hopefully) respond.

I understand how it can be annoying mate, it's your club but in all honesty it's water off a ducks back really. All you succeed in doing is aggravating yourself, some will continue to come at you because they get a rise out of you and it's a cheap thrill.
As i said the majority of us would just be venting over our SC/DT/AF teams while knowing all along why it is what it is. Do yourself a big favour and don't buy into it you know what the bigger picture is and what it means. Opinions are like backsides mate everyone has one.

People are forgetting this could be a good thing for us fantasy coaches as more rookie options may be available to us than would of been, there's always a silver lining so i'm kinda hoping all those you mentioned go well and find their way into the Freo line up.

Not thrilled Barlow has been named for Peel but i'll stick to the game plan and make a decision on him next week, i'm bringing in a fwd anyway with a downgrade Mills to Petracca who I want so i'm no better off by turfing Barlow this week as he'd just become the fwd i'm bringing in anyway. Next week I should know more about Ross's intentions with Barlow, may save myself a sideways trade who knows.

Yeh that all makes sense mate, i'm hoping you've nailed it there and holding him will pay off, burnt to many trades with injury to go casting another aside without being sure.
