Simple one, who is getting Keays?

I am not really sure but at the moment am a bit better than even money to do it - I've seen him in one game and he looked handy, and I think we make hay while the rookie sun is shining. It also suits the way my chips have fallen since it will give me a double upgrade next week with SMitch, Gray, Priddis close to if not fully bottomed out at that time. MacPherson next week is an option too, but could still go both as well with plenty of fat rookies ready to cash.

Thoughts?

If you are going to upgrade you have to get someone and it looks like him this week plus the GC are rubbish and MacPherson could find himself out of the team as quick as he come in so Keays is it

GC are rubbish so shouldnt that increase MacPherson's chances?

If i wasnt doing an upgrade downgrade with Petracca i would go keays. Worse case he gets dropped which isnt terrible on a bench of 3 mids. Kinda depends who else is on that bench though as you could be looking very short say if you had Davis Keays Gresham etc..

The hard part for me is McPherson keays and petracca are all mids and most of my fattened rookies are backs even though Kennedy and menadue are duel position they still have money to make! I really think I can only get 2 of the 3 and as petracca is a must it's one of the other 2 but who?

LordSneeze

I needed a mid 2 weeks ago and felt confident in his JS at the time so got him in.
Not overly happy with his output so far, but had he kicked 1 or 2 last week he would have got a 90.

My suggestion is look at your structure especially for the byes when you make this choice as it is likely you will be holding him to be upgraded around that period.

I kinda find that when teams are in turmoil they makes lots of changes and GC are in turmoil

Ringo

I will not be getting Keays for the following reasons:

He was named as a lead up forward to replace Josh green who is more than likely to return this week.

If he is named this week it will because of Rockcliffes injury and he will more than likely be out when Rocky returns.  Mathieson is also tearing it up in NEAFL and will be knocking on door as well so JS sahy.

MontyJnr

It depends which rookies debut this week (rookies that will be on the bubble round 10).

If Petracca, Keays & MacPherson look like the only decent options over the next 3 rounds, then I may be forced to grab both Petracca & Keays this week.

I would argue that Keays has now pushed ahead of a few of our other guys, only thing he has really done wrong so far is his inaccuracy in front of goal.

Looked pretty good on the weekend, didn't get to watch him against the Swans.

Thanks Ringo.  That makes this a " squat the dot " week.  At my ranking, 31008, I can aford to go slow. Up over 40,000 positions after a really horrific start to the season.  Would be a great position to win it from, bit like the Tiges taking out this years flag. Highly unlikely. Cheers mate.                 ;)

If the Lions had a few more injuries I'd be all over him because he looks like a goer.  14 tackles in 2 games?  Solid as.

Correct, gun junior who racked up CD points at will. Has started slowly but could easily clock in a ton if he starts kicking straight. I always feel safer with big tackling players and with Rocky out I reckon there will be at least two pay rises.

I'm guessing we will need at least 6-7 more rookies to fully upgrade team (after this week's trades). Are there many prospects on the horizon?  If so, then maybe no need for Keays, but if the well is drying up, then Keays might be required.

Marcon, Hibberd, Trengove & Mathieson are the standouts.
