Goldy or Martin

Hey guys,

Like a fool I started with M. Lobbe in R2. Gawn in R1 and have Grimley and Cox (so not much) for cover.

Was planning on getting Martin when he bottomed out which he seems to have this week (BE 80). and costs $470k

But now it seems that Goldy will be very cheap (for Goldy) with a BE of 202 and expected price next week of about $550k.

Who is the better option? Can easily afford either but running reasonably low on trades so $'s are precious. Leaning towards Goldy as the idea of having Gawn and Goldie is very tempting.

Cheers

NicNait BE 98?

Depends on selections I guess with neither Grimley nor Cox definite.

Goldy but not this week obviously as his BE is so high - may even take a couple of weeks for him to bottom out.

Prefer NicNait over Martin at this stage though.

Ringo

Think Martin is at his lowest at the moment - His B/e has been brought down by the May Hit but now proving he is finally over it with another strong performance. Should keep it up this week over Grundy/Witts,

Would probably still wait for Goldy to bottom out though if you can afford to as the Goldy/Gawn combo is the gold this year so far.

AGree with Ringo,    Got Gawn and Martin and would love to have Goldy.   Miss the additional C choice you get.

Holz

would certainly jump on goldy soon.

the game last week he copped an injury in the 1st quarter. Was robbed off 2 contested marks and balls kept just floating over his head with terrible kicking.

last week i reckon he played better then his score reflected.

Something to note was he topped Scored for North and there was an even spread of scores.

I expect him to go big against essendon and we should have alot more 100+ scores. It may cost you 20-25k but picking him up this week insnt stupid.

if not i reckon he starts making cash next week and it could be serious cash v essendon and carlton.

last time he played essendon he went 221 :P

agree but i think a 130-150 is certainly possible.

tried to check the rucks against him and its tough as teams basically didnt have a sole ruck or didnt have a good ruck besides gawn and essendon won that game.

No ruck has gone 100+ against the dons.

I have Martin, and I'm personally hoping for another low score from Goldy so I can upgrade Stef to him.

Smells sideways!

Has anyone noticed Goldstein is getting a lot less hitouts this year? Last year was getting over 40 every week so therefore I reckon thats affecting his scoring. I think its the way the games being played atm, less stoppages and such.

It does, but remove the 49 and he is still averaging well over 120.
