Flowering Gold Coast!!!  >:(

They are going to cost me a third straight at this point - bunch of spuds

Flowering Waite as well - missed three sitters which made the difference between a decent score (still a shower CC score) and a super-score.

Flower me, Gold Coast suck (get rid of them - my GC players would probably achieve decent scores if they weren't in such a shower club)  >:(

and Rocket thinks he's frustrated with their performances  >:(

I was initially against Leigh Matthews comments, but now I agree - Qld should be a one team state (the sole reason why I'm saying this is fantasy football related) :P

Ottawa Otters 19.10.124 def Colorado Avalanche 16.21.117
(Real: 1862 v 1755)

The Otters managed to beat out a Colorado Avalanche outfit that wouldn't go down without a fight. For the Otters, co-captain Treloar was sensational and compensated for a poor showing by fellow co-captain Zaharakis. Ottawa sub McEvoy also had an impact after coming for the aforementioned Zaharakis. The Avalanche weren't terrible and more players in the best, but some others just weren't up to the task.

Best
Ottawa: Treloar, Naitanui, Grigg, McEvoy
Colorado: Bartel, Smith, Hunter, Scully, Curnow, Mundy

Anaheim Mighty Ducks 16.12.108 def by Houston Bombers 19.11.125
(Real: 1627 v 1882)

Houston proved to be too good for Anaheim as they stunned the home team and their legion of fans with a confident display. Half the Houston unit produced notable efforts while Anaheim only had half that number of standouts, including their co-captains in Dangerfield and Hannebery.

Best
Anaheim: Enright, Dangerfield, Hannebery, Merrett
Houston: Sloane, Ellis, Adams, Kreuzer, Motlop, Riewoldt, Walters, Masten

New Brooklyn Hawks 15.16.106 def by Quito Quetzals 17.13.115
(Real: 1583 v 1729)

The Hawks just had way too many passengers in this one as Quito capitalised on that very fact. Jacob Hopper was thrust straight into midfield duties on debut and lived up to the hype pumping out a best-worthy effort. For New Brooklyn, they'll want to hope that a performance like this doesn't come around again any time soon.

Best
New Brooklyn: Sidebottom, Cripps, Liberatore
Quito: Simpson, Savage, Gibbs, Goddard, Hopper, Cameron

Chicago Sharks 16.12.108 def Las Vegas Sinners 14.19.103
(Real: 1614 v 1552)

In what can only be described as an ugly game, the Sharks managed to just about fight off the Sinners. Las Vegas had all sorts of problematic personnel issues which meant players were filling holes left, right and centre while Chicago did just enough for victory and will hope their leaders play better games in future.

Best
Chicago: J.Gibson, Picken, S.Gibson
Las Vegas: Lewis, Tippett, Franklin, De Goey

Boston Terriers 21.8.134 def Santiago Cockerels 16.20.116
(Real: 2009 v 1742)

Boston are just a very good team and they showed that this week and they embarrassed their visitors in Santiago. The Cockerels had some very good performances, but some others had a day to forget. Meanwhile, for the Terriers, they showed no mercy and had nine players feature in the best.

Best
Boston: Howe, Pendlebury, Neale, Priddis, Ross, Goldstein, Dahlhaus, LeCras, Wallis
Santiago: Baguley, Hartlett, Shuey, Kennedy, Zorko

San Francisco Grizzlies 22.4.136 def Carolina Panthers 18.13.121
(Real: 2034 v 1819)

San Francisco are well and truly back with a vengeance. A whopping 11 including sub Zac Williams featured in the best for the Grizzlies who turned up to play in sensational fashion. Carolina weren't too shabby at all, but the poor Panthers just couldn't go with the opposition who sent their fans home with huge grins across their faces.

Best
San Francisco: Shaw, Viney, Coniglio, Swallow, Jack, Steven, Deledio, Montagna, Miles, Guthrie, Williams
Carolina: Docherty, Boyd, Shiel, Bontempelli, Kelly, Edwards, Mumford, Martin, Grundy

Was looking forward to having Beamer up and running but that doesn't appear to be the case :( Good performance from the boys though! Sloaney <3

Okay... now the pressure is on  :(

I predicted Gawn's poor score (because every ruck (including Goldy) has scored horribly against the Bulldogs - but lacked the depth to replace him).

Depth is really becoming an issue at this point - our defence is probably in the bottom 3 for the league - if we lose Saad and Ablett it could get ugly  :-\

At least Steven May returns soon

We'll definitely be active during the off-season trade period though  ;)

BOOM, that's what I'm talking about!

I'll have the ladder and next round thread up Monday arvo when I get home

Boston is back baby!

Good stuff on the scores Nige, great read!

Cheers mate! Took me a few hours because I basically had to do it all from like 6pm-ish last night rather than gradually updating it over the weekend because my internet is being shower (probably getting a new modem today though which should fix it).

Also updated (see: created an entirely new) the spreadsheet I do the scores in. When Jukes is back doing the other half, we should be fine in getting them done quicker and easier than before!

Jukes

Ladder will be delayed until tomorrow morning (most likely) unfortunately, just had a mental weekend and Monday in terms of not being at home and on my computer and won't be until tomorrow now.

New match-thread has been put up.
