Just saw Goldy's coach interviewed, no problem as far as he's concerned.  Then again, he would say that. :-\

Goldy is a beast, most durable ruck i have ever seen. Take out one arm he just taps with the other.

Unstopable.

Vc option this week

Never forget the day he rucked with one arm, as Lou Richard said about Lethal when he snapped a point post in half, a true gladiator.

He still posted 89. It was truly amazing.

this is why you pick him, when fit he is easily the best ruck in the comp. When he is injured he goes out there and is a top 5 ruck in the comp.

I agree, he's the most influential player in the game I reckon. C or VC every week. Pains me to say this, but I think he will absolutely eat Hammer this Friday too, and North should win well.

North coach Brad Scott told reporters Goldstein had "recovered pretty well" after the Swans loss and would be named in the Roos' 22 on Thursday.

"I don't know whether he'll come up or not. You would think he would. Generally if he cops a little knock he recovers pretty strongly from them," Scott said on Tuesday.

"We'll pick him in our side and probably plan on him playing, but have contingencies just in case.

"He's able to do a fair bit of cross-training work. We've put a power of work into him over the journey so fitness is not a concern.

"It's just a matter of getting him physically in the best shape we can get him for Friday night."

Great that Roos are playing first game Friday so we can adjust if necessary.

It's a huge slice of luck that they are playing Friday night.
My gut feel is he'll be rested, I can't see the, rushing their most important player in a game they will most likely win anyway..
I'm prepared to welcome Lycett into the team this week

not sure its that lucky. If he was playing Sunday then i reckon no way he is rested. The short turn around is why they cant say 100%.

Ringo

Agree Holz if it was a 6 or 7 day turn around no doubt but with the shorter turnaround some doubt.  Will not be rested if fit.

they played Friday so its a 7 day turn around. So not really short, if it was 8 or 9 then he would be gravy.

i think he will play and i think he will go big.

not training isnt really a great sign. all signs point to him being a late out. time will tell

its not uncommon for the stars not to train.

he can rest up abit during the week, already the best ruck in the comp one week off training will do him good.

RaisyDaisy

Hope he plays, but if he doesn't then I'll upgrade Papley to FWD/RUC
