Yeah that episode was just a lot of talking, not much substance either - pure filler

Next week things launch!

I saw that meme too haha - people seem to forget they started making this show 10 years ago so all the kids are 18+ now haha

Yeah she's like 22 now!

Liked the episode, lots of reminiscing and setting it up for a whole lot of death and hopefully the most epic battle scenes ever!

Yeah I think the general consensus is that the episode was primarily designed to give a lot of characters who probably won't be surviving one last hoorah and chance to get some screen time

There was a lot of characters involved in general chit chat, and I'd think most of them aren't going to make it so it's a nice touch in that regard

Tyrion: "So this is where I'll die"

Tyrion: *chats with Bran*

Tyrion: "I think we'll live"

Anyone else a bit underwhelmed?

Yes, looks like the two major plot lines are going to stay completely separate

Also was the episode so dark and gloomy it was hard to watch for anyone else? Or is my TV just shower

I wouldn't say I am underwhelmed, but I guess I thought TNK would have been around for a bit longer with 3 eps still remaining

That was an absolute intense viewing though - eyes locked to the screen for 80 minutes making sure I didn't miss a thing and I feel buggered now haha

I think we've been so absorbed with the dead, which is why it can feel underwhelming but the reality is this has all been just a small part of the overall show and larger plot lines, so now we're "back to business" so to speak next week and for the final 3 episodes

I think that whole plot line will serve the emphasise how much of a caustic dog cersei is.

I think the big discussion should be on how useless bran is tbh.

So I was a book guy mainly because I hate watching episodes one week at a time. However I stopped reading them to watch week by week just because the insane amount of attention the show was getting

Kinda glad I stopped reading the books, most who had really hated the episode and ever though I hate watching TV week by week. It was simply amazing TV even if the plot went off on its own little path

Last 2 eps flowerin shower

Impossible to please everyone I guess - expectations of this season are beyond conceivable, but I guess that's what happens when something this big comes along
