I AM SO PUMPED ABOUT THIS NEW SEASON!!!

I thought with the show catching up to the books, I wouldn't enjoy it as much. But because they've changed so many things already, meaning that there is no certainty that some things happen in the books as well, I am LOVING IT. First two episodes have been flowerING TOPS, and I just can't even.

Feel free to discuss episodes, theories (your own or anything you've heard from others), and anything else GoT related!

I'll also create a poll about whether people care about book related things now that the show has caught up :)

I'm probably gonna post about some theories tonight haha, so much I want to talk about :P

Yeah, the only two parts from what I can remember that the show is still behind is:
- Samwell Tarly (but barely ahead and they've already changed some of his stuff)
- Iron Islands (which they are FINALLY starting - I'm not gonna post about them because that'll spoil their entire storyline for the season I'd imagine, I shall only HYPE)

Gandalf123

Let's hope they do this justice, probs one of my favourites in the whole series. dope AF

Just a question about the books, are they easy reading?  Never read Lord of the Rings until I saw the movies, then tried, got up to the forrest chapter of the first book and gave up, god damn that pissed me off!  Not that I'm not a reader, I used to read heaps, even stuff like David Eddings, but as I've gotten older I've got less of an attention span.

Bit hard to say. All chapters are from the POV of certain characters (e.g. you'll never get something from the pov of Rob Stark, instead it will always be Catelyn, Eddard, Jon, etc), and that can be annoying for some. I like it like that though. Also, the fourth and fifth books start at the same point in time, but focusing on different areas of Westeros. This means some characters from the third book won't appear until you read the fifth one. It makes sense how GRRM did it though because otherwise you would be getting a tiny bit from ever character and keep on forgetting what has been happening with their own storyline.

Myself and three of my friends found them easy to read, two of my friends struggled and gave up haha.

Right, I'll have to give it a crack!

Midway through the second book, been really hard finding time for reading but I really should knowing how much richer they are.

Personally I think the show has been going a bit downhill since the end of S4 (Coincidentally where the show majorly diverges with the books, so I've heard), but S6E2 might have been the best since then so really hope it picks up from that!

Yeah they completely changed everything Jaime related, didn't do Iron Islands, and some other stuff as well (there was some good stuff with Sansa, Mance Rayder, etc.).

But the first two episodes this season have been fantastic.

Ok so a few things I want to talk about:

Theon - Told Sansa he was going to go home. Obvious conclusion is that he's going back to the Iron Islands, but could he be saying that he's going back to his home in Winterfell? I think the latter makes a bit more sense, especially because of (quote for book spoilers) in the books, there is a "ghost of winterfell", whose identity is never confirmed. This ghost of winterfell could be another personality of Theon's, when he was Reek, and it could be that Theon is going back to Winterfell and start killing some Boltons!

Jon - The title of the next episode is called 'Oathbreaker', so I'm assuming Jon is basically gonna give the Nights Watch a big 'flower you', and go after Ramsay. If he went back to being the Lord Commander and continue on his merry ways, then him "dying" would have been pointless. There could also be some AA stuff with him as well (prophecies, amiright).

Tommen - He's a dead man. Nothing good comes of asking Cersei Lannister for help :P
I think this is going to be the end of him, and the aftermath will be great to see regarding the Tyrells and the Lannisters (and perhaps the Martells as well (and all of Dorne for that matter).

Jaime - Looks like he's going back to 'Old Jaime', but I don't think things will stay this way. Cersei will probably get out of control, and he'll stab her in the back, just like he did to King Aerys! ;D (or at least I hope anyway haha)

Daenerys - I honestly dunno what'll happen here. Hopefully find out more in the next episode or two. Would be great to see her, Tyrion, and Jon all riding some Dragons though haha.

Arya - I assume she's gonna get her sight back now. Not sure how much longer she will remain in Braavos, but I believe there are still a few names on her list, and really hoping she crosses a few more off sooner rather than later ;)

Sam - I want more of Sam, mainly due to the books. However, I don't know if I'll get what I want. IIRC he's on his way to Oldtown to become a maester, but it seems like there's not going to be a certain character there as well.

Sand Snakes - Don't even care. They've flowered Dorne up so much in the show haha (except Oberyn ofc), the less of them I have to see and listen to, the better.

High Sparrow - Seems like him and his followers actually have a game plan here, but I think it'll end with them all getting killed.

Littlefinger - Where the flower are ya mate? :P

Missed Bran GL
Yeah I didn't cover everyone haha, just the first ones that came to mind. I'm hoping we get more flashbacks though via Bran. Wanna know what happened to Hodor, also potentially some R+L=J stuff would be nice ;)

The Hound can't be dead.

Yep. What about Stannis? We never actually saw Brianne kill him
