tank, tank, tankitty tank ... if I were a Freo supporter i'd be loving this ...  ;D   :-X   ;)

get a soft draw next season, top draft pick/s, Fyfe and Sandi back healthy (fingers crossed), Bennell fits in, maybe get McCarthy (if his head is right) ... a lot of upside for 2017!  :o  ;)

valk/Rico - what do you think about Freo making a play for Aaron Black from Nth?? depth only?

i reckon black could get a game at freo, North stacked up front with Petrie Waite Brown Daw Wood . I feel comfortable with Brown Wood as the future so not sure why we would push soo hard to keep him.

decent player though. well give you Black and first rounder for Mundy :P

I'd hate to see Pav go out the way it looks like he will

Thoughts on if he should just retire now and not play out the season?

which is?

Dunno how many Freo games you've watched RD but Pav has been very decent considering the way we've been playing. He's 34 and in his last year, so he's going to get rested. He should definitely play out the year

I would say its more to do with him going out in a team struggling and extremely unlikely to make the finals as opposed to at least going out in a prelim.

Yep what Holz said

I know he has been playing good - he's a champ, but it's just sad to see him ending his career in this fashion of losing so much games. To an extent it takes the shine off of things  :-[

If he contributes every week and shows the younger kids the way then he will have done his job.He is a team man, not playing for himself. If he was a selfish player , he would have left us a long time ago.
He will go out a champion any way you look at it.
Once a champ , always a champ.

Just finished watching Pav's presser announcing his retirement. All class but what else would you expect from Mathew.
A wonderful career from a great player who gave everything to a club he loves. One of the few to never put a foot wrong on and importantly off the ground. If you were young and wanted a role model then there were few if any better then Mathew Pavlich, great player great clubman and an even better bloke. Congrats Pav on a wonderful career and I wish you all the very best with what ever you and your family decide to do in the future.

He was asked a few weeks back about that and he said he wasnt that keen on coaching.  I see him as a media guy.
