I really want to do grab Smith and then make an upgrade this week, but something is telling me I should just double down and grab Cox too, mostly because I have spud Grimley at R3 so having Cox at F8 would give me the flexibility to swing him into rucks for cover if need be

On the other side though, I much rather the upgrade because then my fwd bench is Petracca and Papley which is solid

Flower, not sure what to do

I think this is the main thing right now. The fact there seem to be two viable options for ruck coverage under 200k won't probably happen again this season. I think it's almost essential to jump on one of Cox or Currie because while you may lose 40 points this week not upgrading Kennedy to someone like Zorko, you could make up 80 points later in the year with the coverage at R3. Teams aren't going to be afraid to rest players through the year and you don't want to be copping a donut in the ruck with a couple of 1 week rests.

Is Cox any chance to play the rest of the season though? I reckon Moore+Cloke+Cox could work okay for 1 or 2 games but eventually they will take on a quick side who will run all day and they will be exploited.

This is why I'm bringing Currie back into calculations. He's a mature body that can shoulder the ruck load, Nicholls has never really established himself as an option and he probably has better job security and scoring potential. Bucks seems intent on making an example out of Cloke but you're right, they will be too tall with all 3 in the team even though Moore has deceptive speed.

Yup, Cox or Parker this week?... killing me

Think I will pass on Cox and Currie

Want to get my best 22 on field first, and will worry about ruck cover if and when need be

Might even be able to get Sinclair, Kreuzer etc a bit later for about 300k which would be cheap but decent R3 cover if it's needed

batt

Hmmmmmmmm.  It's between Cox and Smith for me.

I have Grimley at R3 so Cox will provide swing-cover for Goldyinui.

I'm leaning towards Cox because ideally I'll save a trade down the line when NicNat/Goldy miss.  That comes at the expense of less cash generation, which I think my team can cope with (esp with Petracca, Keays next week + Mathieson later)

If he generates enough cash and Grimley starts getting games on the back end of the season, then perhaps I can cull him as a cash cow.

Lots of hypotheticals.

Speculator

Dougal Howard dropped and rightly so by the sound of his ruck work.

Mat0369

I grabbed Currie as bench coverage and he posted a decent score. It looks like he was mauled by Gawn though so I don't know how good that security is going to be.

whorya

Possibly the biggest waste of a trade ever getting Cox.

Just cannot see any reason to get him for a trade.

Agree

Because he provides ruck/forward cover all year where most of us would cop a donut if one of our rucks misses..

Is a 40 from Cox in the rare event a ruck misses worth the trade you brought him in with?

HotTiges

so if Goldy gets a rest this week and Cox gets dropped?? that would suck..

Could be a 70. There's also a good chance that your starting ruck combo miss more than 1 game between them for the season. I have Nicnat/Goldy and don't have Cox but I wouldn't mind the security for the inevitable day one of them miss a game

Lol 24 SC on the weekend. I hardly call that good cover. I would expect him to be dropped eventually, wasted trade in my opinion.

And 75 and 67 the 2 weeks prior.. Can't just look at one score and say that's what he will score
