yeah i wouldnt trade out dunkley, what happens if petracca doesnt play 3 in a row and dunkley gets a game, your loosing 60k minimum for not waiting. i have dunkley its frustrating but if hes on your bench no point rushing petracca in. weiters has surely earned another week, tipa has a ton in his rotation, hartley is going up. brown hasnt made enough coin to chop while he's getting a game, dea is the only one i can see that is worth tradding, but i'd looke at other options before petracca

no way. has to be on the bubble.

kennedy/menadue/hewett/davis all likely trades for truck in 2 weeks.

keays upcoming in 2 weeks as well.

A bold prediction - we're all going to run out of trades - again!  ::)

Yeah I see no reason why this bloke shouldn't be treated like any other rookie. Give him a couple of weeks before we get all silly about him!

Knowing my luck, he'd probably get injured, dropped, or rested before playing a 3rd game if I got him before he was on the bubble. So it's a 'no' from me.

Same here, lucks been much the same as last year with injuries etc and wasted sideways trades, I just have a gut feeling if I jumped on early it would end in disaster. Not tempting fate i'll wait till he's on the bubble can't afford it to blow up.

I already have him on my bench from my original 30 (SC & RDT but not AFL) so for me the question is not whether to get him in but rather what will he score? I have high hopes for 80+. Be a hard luck story for whoever misses out at the Dees too. Possibly BenKen but most likely Harmes or Hunt? Building some depth at Melbourne. Grimes can't get a game & Trengrove trying to get his career going again too. P.S. If I didn't have him I would wait for the bubble.

I want to upgrade my mids this week so Petracca is the best cheap player available was going Lee but now everyone is saying Roberton will take his spot soon  :-\ so its down to waiting 2 weeks and not upgrading or taking a risk ?

Belegur

i think if your doing a double trade it could potentially be worth the risk if your upgrading a failed midprice to a premium, say if you can do something like dea to petracca, s. gray to pendleburry, and you dont rate lee and you got the back rookies from last week. but for 99% of teams theres no point to rushing him in. We're talking about a kid who has so far spent his whole afl career injured, why take the risk.

Yet to see someone actually put forward the trade they want to do, it'd be alot easier to say yah or nah if we can see who your trading out.

Fid

No, but if he plays a blinder,   maybe next week

It involves getting rid of Lonegran and Kennedy some swapping around and getting either Petracca or Lee and whichever mid I want

If it boils down to Petracca vs Lee I would get Petracca regardless of the bubble.

that sounds like a fairly solid trade to me. some will say Bennedy is worth holding because he hasnt peaked, i flicked him last week for wagner though, now im using the cash for dea to pendles. Its a pretty similar move, whether to get lee or petracca im not sure, dont know enough about st.kildas list tbh. petracca might be the safer move if your going to be playing one on field, should score higher. im not so convinced there is a heap of must have rookies comming in though, might be usefull to have petracca up your sleave in a few weeks. With freeman hamstrung, all the upcoming rookies named in the thread are maybe at best, i doubt they will all be must have trades
