So I picked wingard as a pod but he has been incredibly poor except for the first game. Is it worth trading him or should I try just stick it out and hope he and port get their act together?

Lost too much money just stick it out unless he is injured.

Actually can anyone fill me in on how he scored so little, as i went out and didn't see the game.
Does he look to be carrying an injury or was it just lack of opportunity in the forward line with Geelong dominating play? cheers.

Port aren't going too well. Impacting on scores a bit.
Only Wines and DBJ scored 100+ last night v 6 Geelong players.
In the previous round only 3 Port players scored 100+ v 8 GWS players.
R3 in the win against Ess they did better but only 5 players tonnes up v 3 bombers.
R2 only Gray and Wines tonned up v Adel who had 5 players score 100+.
R1 v Saints it was 4 each....
16 100+ individual Port SC scores v 26 opposition scores.... Paints a picture about where the lion's share of the points are going.
I don't know the answer as to what to do with him if you've already got him but I would think twice before bringing him in albeit cheaply. I have Wines and have my concerns too. I'm not trading him but would like to see the team do better as it will equate to better scores. Gray was lucky to have 10 disposals last night. I'm not sure what's going on at Port but you don't want to fill your team up with their players atm.

He did this a couple of seasons ago..2014?picked him at 350 or 370k roughly and he still didn't improve...him and westhoff will be very cheap and i dont think ill go near them unless a dramatic turn in fortunes..

He's been officially inducted into member of my "hall of shame".  Port players can be very hard to pin down, they need a stern talking to, a kick in the........., or both.

In doubt to miss this weekend again. I have rance out too and in a cash league for overall points I may be forced to move him on. Does anyone reckon he can get back to his best, or is it time for him to finally go?

$380k driveaway no more to pay? Seems a decent deal for someone who can get on a roll? No bigger time than now for the power.

Thoughts?

Definitely a decent pick as far as value goes. Not entirely convinced though, with 10 forwards currently averaging over 100. If he can get in and around that group as far as scoring goes for the rest of the season he could be an excellent pick.

Definitely has the potential. Is there any reason why his output has been down apart from Port being terrible very second week? Think he had a hamstring, but any other injuries?

If only he was this price in around 5-6 rounds time when our teams are done! Would be awesome forward-mid bench coverage.

I'd probably avoid at this stage, unless you think he can be a top 10 forward.

Wingards only a forward this year mate.

If you think you'll have a few trades left after finishing your team, and would get Wingard in 6 weeks time at this price, may as well get him now imo.

I won't be, because I don't really rate him as much :P (and also cause no mid/fwd dpp as JM just mentioned)

Can effectively cover the mids though if you have a mid/fwd dpp in the mids

Get what you mean though

At this price I'm pretty keen, has considerable upside (though comes with a fair risk).  Will fit my bye structure and could be a decent swinging F6/F7 with someone like Wells.  As GL said, now's probably the time to get him if at all.

Grufflez

After thinking about it for a while there just isn't any point bringing him in while Wells, Kerridge or even the Melbourne lads
are scoring so well.
