Too good Dees. Max Gawn was absolutely beast in the ruck, outplayed Ivan well and truly while the Dees forwards ran amok over the Tiges defence.

Rance - that was pure frustration. As stupid as it sounds at least it showed he gave a flower about losing - not many other players did. Still, very stupid and he'll be missing a couple of games which will put us in an even worse situation.

I'm not sure the umpires really favoured either side Purps, I think they were pretty consistently crap all night. In particular there were a lot of non-decision incorrect disposal calls that should have been called.

Trent Cotchin played one of the greatest matches I've ever seen him play tonight.

He did absolutely everything he could and it's a real pity so many of his team-mates were passengers or whingers who thought whacking someone in the back of the head (Rance) was ok.

Whenever Melbourne had it in their back half, they found leads and the Tiges' players couldn't keep up with them. In the Tigers' back 50, they couldn't get an efficient rebounding kick, not ONCE in the Final Quarter did I see Richmond clear the ball through the act of efficient kicking, they could only scrap it out of there.

There's not much Trent can do when the other 21 players aren't fully committed. I'm sure he has tried to talk his teammates up for games, but it doesn't seem to be working. He needs to try something different.
