at the start of the season i unfortunately picked lonergan seedsman and sheridan expecting at least 1 of them to break out! they have all been a major disappointment and now its time to cull but which one? last year i traded out newnes over harry which was a major fail! dont want to make the same mistake again! decided to let the wise ff community to make the decision for me! whoever i chose to cull will come out firing! please vote and any reasoning behind your decision would be much appreciated! thanx

Cull 2. Get back to basics - Guns'n'rookies.

Ruggles, Byrne and Byrne are all going to make a lot of money.

Gives you a couple of weeks to keep an eye on the gun defenders whilst they and the bomber guys ripen.

i was going to downgrade paps as well and the worst player of the 2 remaining after this week will go to a premium next week! thats the plan anyway! edging my bets !

If you're not going to cull two, then get rid of Lonergan this week. Give Sheridan vs Freo and Seed one more shot, and then dump one or both of them next week

no eye deer

Yep, Lonergan this week mate and hope Sheridan returns to form against the Blues.

I have Lonergan as well..Interesting comment in a thread comparing him to Newnes last season..BE of 76 which he should go close to but then again 4 DEF rooks at least on bubble and opportunity to put cash in bank for next week...then there is ranking..do i go and get a DEF premo 490k or under to keep points coming??? KK and Simpson look great value... (ranked 521 overall) interesting week coming up that's for sure...

One last thing..probably should of grabbed just the 1 mid pricer. .

all week i have had sheridan on the chopping block but after looking at the games this week with the shocking delivery into the blues forward line im expecting him to clean up! lonergan has the roos and i think i read somewhere that points are hard to score against them! also lesson learned  guns and rookies next year! although i would have grabbed shaw under this theory and im glad i didnt! ripe for the picking in a week or two!

Yeah Shaw in hindsight could of waited but im not too concerned..Lonergan will be a tough call..not sure what role he's playing?run with player?'bull' type..not sure...plays 1 good qtr then drifts right out of play

Interesting that everyone was telling me to get rid of Sheridan last week over Lonergan and now everyones gone the opposite way!  Either way both are going to be out by team selections tonight, Sheridan last week and Lonergan this week.

thats the problem its too hard to tell! i have the feeling that 1 will come good and really i think its pot luck! the way my season is going if i make the decision it will be the wrong 1 so the poll will make my decision instead! at the moment it looks like goodbye lonergan!

Sheridan should score well this week (hope) so leave him till next week for an upgrade maybe. Freo have been shower so give him a chance. Personally I'd cull both Seeds and Lonergan. If you have enough bench cover. While the rookies are there you need to grab them. I'd grab both this week myself but I've got Sam Gray to deal with.

Agreed.

The two I would cull would be Lonergan and Sheridan, Lonergan averaging the least, Sheridan averaging not meaningfully more than Seeds, and they have the highest BE. Plus they're worth more than seeds so a few grand more for trading them in...

I only have lonergan and thoughts have moved away from holding (AKA Newnes last year) to either downgrade or upgrade - Like Hot tigers ranked in the top 1000 and favouring the upgrade as finding JS in the bubble boys this week is a coin flip.

Options - Upgrade

To KK / Simpson / Birchall (uses funds gone)

To Suckling or Biggs imo their floor has now been raised with Murphy and Johannisen out. Benefit will be downgrade and upgrade next week: T Lee and Shaw/Dusty.

Seedmans role for the crows is not going allow him to score 90+ consistely unless a Smith/Laird/Chenney get injured and he moves to the HBF rather than wing.

The choice is really between Sheridan and Lonergan and to me everything points to keeping Lonergan.
People who read some of my previous posts will know im not convinced by Sheridan either now or from before the season and will know the reasons I am keeping Lonergan.
A lot of people just look at scores, not at why they are getting those scores. Lonergan has the potential to average 90+ for the rest of the year, sheridan doesn't

Here's something that might change your mind.

1) Spends the 2nd most time on the bench for any Suns player.
2) And is ranked 20th for TOG

Goneski!
