Had a horrible score on the weekend due to illness and then a fine knee to the head resulting in a huge drop in cash and a be of 180 for this week. Priced to fall another $45k and be priced at only $430k after starting at just under $560k.

Has the Bombers week after next who he historically does very well against. Round 1 he played well too and he isn't much to upgrade from one of our young rooks either.

Anyone considering?

Would seem my midfield doesn't have any of the real top prems tho. However he'd become a M9 for just over $400k. Could go 110 for the rest of the year.

Ablett, Fyfe, Danger, Shiel, Titch, Libba, Kerridge, Mills

And then would target 3 of Pendles, Hanners/Priddis/Gray/SMitch/Rocky. Don't want Parker/Zaha/Ward who are also gunning it.

BomberSam

High risk, potentially high reward.

After Malthouse's sacking last season, he averaged 111 for the remainder. In the first eight games under Malthouse, he averaged just 92.4.

Look at his season averages since 2009:

112.9
111.9
118.0
112.7
92.4
106.0
103.2

We know that he has the ability to average 110+ because he has done it four times already.

This season:

Round 1: 123 (73% TOG) vs. Richmond.
Round 2: 84 (78% TOG) vs. Sydney.
Round 3: 64 (74% TOG) vs. Gold Coast.
Round 4: 36 (53% TOG) vs. Western Bulldogs.

If he can ton up in the next couple of weeks, I will heavily consider him at 430k.

If I could do something like Menadue and Bennedy into Murphy and Keays for example I'd be very interested. Solid M9, although I prefer if my M9 had fwd dpp

Very similar RD except I am looking at Murphy and Petraca (I did not start with Petraca).  Still have Kerridge in the mids and hoping to turn him into a prem with M/F status.

_wato

Yep I'm thinking of pulling the trigger early and getting him in after next week.

After round 10 last year 151, 103, 114, 97, 113, 104, 114, 117, 130, 93, and 85 subbed injured.

Some really solid numbers. Thinking Menadue to Tracca giving me $220k and then BenKen to Murphy. Have like $50k leftover too.

Ablett, Fyfe, Danger, Shiel, Murphy, Mitchell, Liberatore, Mills
Buddy, Barlow, Zorko, Kerridge, Wells, Adams

Holz

Its a bold call, i see the reasoning but with guys like rocky sloane cheap and parker hanners balling do you use a mid spot on him.

Capper

Not for me. Hasnt got his hands on the ball enough to impress me.

looking at his heat maps he hasnt been at the centre bounces as much as he has in the past either

_wato

Rocky I'll get when he is cheap and showing something. Not atm

Don't want Sloane. Shiel will match if not beat him.

Hanners I'll also get and Titch should match Parker from here out. Don't think Parker will go much more than 110 for the year.

Can I have a look at those heat maps please Capper? Would love to see.

Dunno, a 105-110+ player priced at 80 is super tempting.

Jimmykidd

yeah nah, its a no from me. i see the reasoning, but he just hasnt been relevant for a long time now. im a blues supporter. captaincy ruined this bloke.

based of what? shiel has never averaged over 105 even if you count unsubeed scores.

Sloane 115 in 2014
Sloane 117 in 2015 if you remove red vests and concussion game.

Dont have direct access to heat maps, i get them from other people with AFL live access

Shiel will not average higher than Sloane this year

BomberSam

If I went for example, Menadue to Keays/Petracca and Ben Ken to Murphy:

Fyfe, Danger, Ablett, Shiel, Parker, Murphy, Libba, Mills.

Martin, Barlow, Hall, Wells, Kerridge, Tippa.

Question, is it too much to have both Libba and Murphy?

GoLions

Definitely one to consider, could be a great M9 for when we get hit by injuries, suspensions, and the general at the end of the season

_wato

Basing it off the past now Holz? Shiel is an up and coming jet, I don't count the past when you're looking at elite players to break out.

However Sloane ain't gonna get anywhere near those numbers. Danger out has been a massive impact on him.

Sloane 96, 81, 92, 137
Shiel 102, 98, 101, 108

Both averaging exactly the same. Shiel has a massive ceiling too. Don't see why he couldn't outdo him

Speculator

Another bad score or 2 might make him cheap enough for me to consider. I've used too many trades on Rockliff, Crouch, et al that I can't afford this type of luxury. Unless he goes lower still.
