The way I saw it was that they would play time on either end of the ground, then if still tied at the end of that go to golden point...

if they're tied by the end and it goes to golden point then the winner would be whoever scores the point, which means the winner would be up by either 6 or 1?

People are debating whether it should be golden GOAL or golden POINT. Golden POINT means definitely next score wins, but also means you could win a GF on a rushed behind. But if it's golden GOAL, then in theory team A could dominate possession but only score behinds, go 10 points ahead, but lose when team B scores a goal - but team A on the score sheet would still be 4 points ahead of team B. I'm of the opinion that a middle ground is needed, golden point is too easy, but if a team has to get 3 in front then you get the win as soon as you kick a few unanswered behinds, or kick a goal.

Just wanting to clarify after re-reading the discussion which is great is:

Do we want Golden point after full time or Golden Point after the 2 periods of extra time 10 minutes each way?

Personally my favourite would be extra time and if still tied then Golden Goal.  Think most games when they occur would be decided in the extra time anyway.
