Is trading Crouch to Ruggles and Papley to DBJ smart?

If Crouch was your M7 then doable, however bear in mind who you have to field this week.

Have to field DBJ in the defence if I make the trade, and crouch was my mid 6.

Ben Kennedy be 56 projected increase $8k or Mills be 20 projected increase $22k

Bringing in DBJ. All other rooks have neg be's and aren't expensive enough to warrant a trade.

Want to get in DBJ, so:

Oliver (move Lonergan to mids)
or
Paps (move Brown to Fwd)
or
Crouch/Lonergan (but reluctant to let them go at this stage)

Oliver is not playing this week and if gets his average when he returns might only make another $40-$50k, whereas Paps still has up to $100K to make. Don't have mid cover this week, so trading Oliver gives me that (via Lonergan)
Have only used one trade so far and all other cows are still making decent coin and are playing (other than Davis).

Is DBJ a much better pick than Ruggles?

Looking at Seedsman > Ruggles and B.Kennedy > Z.Merrett.

Cannot afford this if I get DBJ.

Trade on Paps, hit the S on one of your DPP DEF/FWD players and then bring in Byrne-Jones.

Yeah this is killing me, I want to get at least one of DBJ or Ruggles and its down to Lonergan and Crouch.

It seem's wrong trading out someone who is named so I'm leaning towards Crouch

You can do as many DPP trades as you want as well, you aren't just limited in moving one player, if you really wanted you could do something like Papley out, Menadue forward, Smith into the midfield and then bring in Ruggles all in the one trade.

If you think he is going to average 90-100 when he gets back, then he will most likely go up in price as much, if not more, than the rookie options available. He might then be a keeper at M9 or a stepping stone to premium.

But if you don't trust him anymore due to being injury prone, then just flick him and invest wisely.

Crouch should be back next week and has bigger upside than Lonergan (points and cash generation), but if the risk of injury is too hard to live with, then ditch Crouch.

dont know whether to upgrade now and gain extra points but then I will miss out on the cash that the defender rookies will make

Problem is for me I have Lonergan in the mids with no def mid link up, so can only do double downgrade with Summner and DBJ/Ruggles/Byrne.

I have JJ so not sure to upgrade him to Selwood/Zaha/Sloane and move Lonergan to def or keep him in mids and trade JJ to Rance.

Lonergan out
sub a mid/fwd to mids
sub a def/fwd to forwards
trade in defender

Thanks KB, it gives me $595k. Only thing for this week is that my side is weak this week, then next week upgrade to premos. I'll have to field Papley/Brown/McCarthy though..
