Yeah first off only a clown would put Clarkson on this list....

Ok now that that's out of the way lol, Buckley>Hardwick.

Bucks to be gone this season/before the start of next and Hardwick to get chopped end of year/next year.

Lyon will continue because Fremantle are idiots.

RaisyDaisy

Clarkson in the poll is just silly

Roos finishes up soon then hands over to Goodwin so again Roos in the poll is silly

Lyon recently signed on to 2020 so that is silly

Hinkley in the poll is also silly

Bucks and Hardwick just signed extensions too, but they are the only 2 who could remotely be sacked, but I'm with Grazz and think there might not be any this year (Unless Rich and Coll go super super bad)

Ringo

Yep Clarko in poll is silly.

I am with Grazz and would say no one would be sacked this year unless Richmond or Pies really disintegrate.  Even though contracts have been extended if that occurred board would have to break contracts.

Carlton and Brisbane coaches are reasonably safe given clubs are in a rebuilding phase and in Brisbanes case a number of players have been resigned mainly as a resulk of Leppas 1 year extension.

Well Clarko did sign the biggest loser in the game, Jack Gunston. So he has proven he isn't perfect! Maybe some organizations are happy to have flower heads but most professional sporting clubs wouldn't put up with it!

Is that 3 time premeriship player who has kicked 45+ goals the last 3 season

tbagrocks

Surely anyone who knows me and I thought most of you, would realize the "Clarko" Poke was just me being silly trying to be a little bit funny for showers and giggles? ::)

Secondly, defending Jack Gunston? flower me! If anyone has seen my other post about Messi and co leaving their own Country to play and the fact that only a soft loser would bolt in their second season, simply because they are a bad person who cant even realize how lucky they are!

Yes second year players leave all the time but, the flowerhead Gunston played the whole second half of the season for Adelaide so it wasn't like he wasn't getting a game. Why some idiots continue to try defend seriously bad characters like Jack the flog Gunston, no matter what kind of selfish success they might have is really beyond my level of comprehension!

BTW anyone see Brian Harris on 360? Guy is clearly another up himself White Goodman who left to nab a flag. But he is simply just a flog also, Hawthorn seem to be setting a trend?

I feel sorry for you if you condone poor behaviour, standards and morals, but I wont!

Come on mate, Gunston is one of the best forwards in the game. Also, I don't see why Crows supporters even care. Don Pyke is a significantly better acquisition than Gunston, Tippett, & Dangerfield combined imo.

He has the Crows playing fantastic football and he's finally been able to unlock the talent of the younger players at AFL level (i.e. Lyons, Atkins, Knight, Crouch, Milera has been great from the outset). I actually like watching the Crows play now (I have not enjoyed the club's playing style since 2009 - I was too stressed about Port in 2012 to watch any other club). I currently have Sydney, West Coast, Hawthorn, and the Bulldogs in my top 4 (with Crows in fifth and Gold Coast as a possible surprise inclusion). But I cannot see any reason why North Melbourne and the Crows cannot push for the top 2 (Crows, Bulldogs, West Coast, & Hawthorn have been the four entertaining teams thus far).

I don't see Roos getting sacked & Clarko is extending and it would literally be impossible for anyone with a brain to sack him. Hinkley should really be in the firing line, but I don't see the club sacking him (he's done too much for the club, they will probably give him until the end of next year in a worst case scenario).

Sadly, Dimma will be my most likely - I think it's his spud players who should really cop the blame (Cotchin is honestly the worst captain in the comp. imo - he was a premier mid before being given the captaincy, it's about time they gave it to Jroo or Rance).

Freo cannot get rid of Lyons, because he's the first significant coach the club has managed to attract (and without any future key forward prospects, I don't see the Docker being able to attract another decent coach).

Buckley is 2nd most likely imo, and the worst coach of the lot (destroyed a young premiership winning team and brought in a bunch of spud midfielder with barely any decent KPP talent - Moore, Brown, & Reid excluded)

The reason why it is harder for Port & Freo to let go of Hinkley & Lyons is because they have implemented a specific game plan over a number of years. At this point, for many of their players this is all they know and it will be tough to reverse the long process of osmosis. If Hinkley or Lyon are to go, it will be over the off-season, not during the home and away season. I don't see either being fired though.

I honestly cannot see any coach getting fired this season (Chris Scott should be ahead of Roos & Clarko). All the poor performing teams are in the process of rebuilds - so none of those coaches will get fired. As long as the finals contenders... contend for finals... they will be fine (because this is one of the more competitive years of AFL football)

Ricochet

Well Buckley is giving Hardwick a bit of a lifeline

Don't worry, i'm used to people not understanding me. People also stand and talk in doorways, sit too far left when turning right at a T-junction wipe dry dishes with a tea towel. I have jut gotten used to the fact that people are idiots ;)

STOP TAKING ME SO DARN SERIOUSLY   ........ seriously :P

Also, Buckley might want to win a game soon!

Yeah tbag Clarko shouldn't be in the poll. Thats just silly. (Only saying it because its been said a billion times nearly word for word).

Bucks is my pick, Collingwood have a better list in my eyes than what they're producing.

should have never got the job (wasn't qualified)
should have been fired by now (has unperformed)
currently performing poorly (playing pendles out of position is the cherry on top of the cake)

I dont see him getting fired for the same reason hird was able to survive for too long. Got the job becuase if his playing career and will keep it because he is a club legend. Has done nothing as a coach, once they realise being a great player doesnt make you a great coach he will be gone.

I disagree with the above in bold.
McGuire moved Tony Shaw on who was a terrible coach yet was a premiership captain and norm smith medallist.
McGuire, like or hate him, is not afraid of making changes.
We either get an untried coach or we go after Clarkson, the latter being my preference.
I remember when the rumours started back in late 1999 about maybe the Pies could get Malthouse. He was settled in Perth and if memory serves the Eagles played finals that year too, but we still got him.
McGuire is a can-do guy.

My tip is the Pies lose to Ess, then W/C in Perth and then fly back to face the Blues. Lose to them and hello stand-in interim coach Scott Burns.

Do you think if it was Nathan Buckly some guy who played VFL football and was an assistant coach at some other club he would have lasted? That guy would be more qualified.
