One Collingwood mate says to another "Did you hear, Goldy's a late out" It's overheard by someone else, who assumes it's Goldstein and starts the rumours.  SEN and Ch 9 'reporters' hear the info and need to make a decision. Do they.....

A) Contact North Melbourne to get confirmation then report said confirmation that Goldstein will indeed play, squashing the rumours apart from conspiracy theorists

.....or

B) Report the unfounded rumours safe in the knowledge that they can always blame the 'original' source for bad information and knowing that it will be spread so quickly over social media that no-one will be able to accurately pin them down as the reason why message boards started to go into meltdown, and SCers all over wonder whether the pain and angst is really worth it!
