With such a small sample size, 3 games between them I default to the bubble boy

This seems to make the most sense. People speak of Hartleys lack of JS but surely Ruggles is no better?

Ruggles is better thats why people are looking to pick him up a week early. Essendon has Grima sitting in the wings and people have read into went woosha commented on in regards to grima and it appears that hartley would be the guy to go.

Cats dont have any guy pushing to come in to my knowledge and he has peformed better in that one game then hartley has.

im going ruggles as i cant afford my trade with hartley.

Goosey

Lets just say for arguments sake they both get dropped next week, at least we get one payrise from Hartley?!

But for loophole purposes Ruggles is a much better option.

Yes, which is more or less useless anyway

With all the def Bombers I have, Ruggles out means I could at least loophole them each week

Same boat for me

There should also be consideration for Byrne & Byrne-Jones who will also be on the bubble, lock in Ruggles this week and take your pick of those two the next.

Byrne would probably be more likely to hold his spot as well I assume

I think the last line may be dictating the opinion in the rest of the comment...

Playing devils advocate I would be more sure of Ruggle's JS if he played the first two rounds, Enright out at the moment, Ruggles has a stinker and his JS may not look so good. Getting him on the bubble makes sense, that is unless you need the extra cash this week...

Hartley scored 86 in his first game and given the circumstances Essendon find themselves in he should play plenty of games this year. His JS may not be top notch but I am struggling to see how Ruggles is any better, personally I think there's a fair argument to suggest it's worse than Hartley's!

to be fair I only realised that i couldnt afford hannerbery when i looked to get hartley and ruggles in. Have always been cautionary of hartley, the only upside is if he gets dropped next week you can bring ruggles in.

Ruggles is certainly better then hartley is more a question of Hartley and Ruggles or just Ruggles.

Still playing devils advocate, how would you see if if Ruggles gives a score of less than 60 this week??

its not what he scores its how he plays. If he plays poorly he could get dropped.

I can defaintley see him getting to 3 games, they should smash essendon and cant see any changes.

RaisyDaisy

I'm passing on Hartley and grabbing The Rug

Hartley scored 80odd in a win, and there won't be many of them. Grima threat worrying too
