Harwood - 3 clangers would not have helped his score.  His D/e is up a little but 0 tackles is a concern as well.  Improvement on previous weeks but not enough to instill confidence.
He is blkeeding cash and B/e is 62 which was his last weeks score so decision is yours.

Hmm with a BE of 62 there is probably no harm waiting a week on a Harwood to Ruggles trade to see how they both go

So maybe just Crouch to Hartley this week

Votes in Ruggles favour but that is making this decision no easier for me.

Harleys issue is the return of Grima but Ruggles issue is playing at Geelong where any loss or slightly poor game could see him dropped. Will wait and see what teams are named tommorow and then I'll no doubt pick the wrong one regardless :)

Surely the dons will be keen to get games into decent players on their primary list instead of top-ups like Grima?

I said this when they loaded up on recruiting 30+ year olds instead of guys in their early to mid 20s that could have a future at the club but obviously they want to remain competitive and try and get some W's so wouldn't be surprised to see Grima brought in at the expense of someone like Hartley

Loved Ruggles game on the weekend, an absolute dead ringer for Josh Hunt.

If essendon was smart they would play hartley.

If essendon was smart they would have took the 2 game suspension and have a full squad.

What i have learnt is essendon is not smart.

Geelong is.

Ruggles is in my squad now

Ruggles would have to play an undisciplined shocker to be dropped I would think.

Do we need to get both?

Hartley this week and Ruggles next?

I only ask because other than these two, there are no potential bubble boys that interest me in the coming weeks

I already have Hartley. As an Essendon supporter I wasn't spooked he wasn't picked round 1 and kept him in my original team. I also still have Petracca so hope he gets a game soon.

I'm seriously considering Ruggles next week on the bubble if he has another good game. That would be 5 trades down and stop for a while. Not too many other rookies on the horizon. Maybe Keays if he gets a game.

If Hartley survives when Grima plays then he's probably safe, although I wouldn't bet my house on it.

My thoughts exactly.

SCOTT: Tom [Ruggles] played well. He'll be difficult to keep out. He's in pretty good shape to hold his spot.

I prefer Ruggles of the two if I had to pick one.

Ruggles will be a next week trade. Not sure who for.

Isn't Hartley a top up player too?

GCSkiwi

I'm hesitant to go Ruggles over Hartley because Geelong have trolled us in the past bringing in a rook for 2 weeks and then dropping them again (pretty sure they did this with blitz). I generally don't like going a week early on anyone cos you never know what will happen week 2. With that said, I really wanna trade out Crouch but need extra cash to get anyone decent so a downgrade option is needed, but Hartley is it... would rather have Ruggles in game 1 form over Hartley though... So basically, looks like I'm waiting a week on Ruggles haha

No, he was selected in last years national draft. Pick 68
