Thread for Rd 4

You have the option of naming full team as well but the following must be lodged in this thread:

1) Any OOP Players
2) Emergency Vice-Captain
3) Emergencies to be named in preferential order

3 is important as well as it had to be used this week.  UF does not have the capacity to replace a utility with emergency and this week we had a utility needing replacement.

Also any changes to match totals for transparency admins will post their adjustments in this thread as well.

The Draw for Rd 4

Couple of interesting match ups for this week:

Huricanes v Hawks - 1st v 3rd First real test for the Hurricanes this year to see if they are on top of ladder by default or the real deal.  Win this one and some of the doubters will be put to bed.

Badgers v Hedgies - Loser of this match could be 8 points behind 8th place so will be real dog fight with winner possibly going into the 8. A 4 point game for these teams.

Rams v Bunnies - Must say both these teams are surprising for different reasons _ Rams were tipped to fall down the ladder due to suspensions whilst Bunnies were not expected to be in the top 8.  Loser of this match will probably fall out of the 8.

Let the banter begin

Bit harsh on the owls, they aren't an easy team to beat id of thought :)

D: Brendon Goddard, Jasper Pittard, Rory Laird, Zac Williams
M: David Armitage (VC), Joel Selwood (C), Ben Cunnington (EVC), Nathan Jones
R: Shane Mumford
F: Daniel Wells, Shane Edwards, Jake Stringer, Drew Petrie
U: Stephen Hill, Jack Newnes

Steven May (D), Ryan Bastinac (M), Rory Lobb (R), Brandon Matera (F)

Poor Zac Williams (or Steven May if williams isn't named) has some big shoes to fill with the loss of Robert Murphy, however the coaching staff at the Hurricanes believe he is up to the challenge.

Going to be a few selection dilemmas this week for the Badgers. Hanley was pretty good in the reserves last week, as was Hurn, Cooney, Riska, and even Clay Cameron! :o

Doubt you were going to play Clay Cameron but with the injury to Rory Thompson he's a good chance to take a defensive position down back :)

He was like my 2nd highest scoring defender and plays Brisbane this week. Genuine chance to be named!

Fair enough, also Trent Mckenzie went down in the defence as well, i heard he was likely going to be moved down back, which could hurt his scoring :P

Bradford Badgers

DEF: Matthew Boyd, Jesse Lonergan, Eric Mackenzie, Jarrod Harbrow
MID: Dion Prestia (VC), Luke Shuey (C), Trent Cotchin, Tom Liberatore
RUCK: Tom Nicholls
FWD: Caleb Daniel, Tom J Lynch (EVC), Mark LeCras, Michael Barlow
UTIL: Pearce Hanley, Myspud Rischitelli >:(

EMG: Adam Cooney, Nick Dal Santo, Shannon Hurn, Alex Fasolo (OOP R)

Due to Suns playing Lions, may give Riska ONE LAST CHANCE. If he flowers up, he's gone.

In saying that, a lot of players could get that last utility spot. Cooney, Fasolo, Dal Santo, Hurn all may get the nod instead. Captaincy is also a tough one. If Prestia seems 100% fit, he may get the gig. Cotchin has been in great form. Lynch could have a day out against the Lions. Shuey has been ultra consistent all season so far, with a low score of 175. And then there is Sir Daniel of Caleb ;D

People were surprised about Hastings dominance?

As a wise man once (repeatedly) said;

Hastings "Premiership A Sure Thing" Hurricanes

Watch Cunnington win them it as well  8) and who's Michael Hurley?

*pops head out*

Hurricanes don't even own Hurley if you were trying to say that they're fine with him being suspended :P

iZander wisely traded him out for Cunnington   ;) making the Premiership "A Sure Thing"
