Many may be looking at making an early upgrade/sideways this week, so got a thread here where the best fwd upgrades are listed.

Even though his ownership is only 39%, I'm going to assume we all have Dusty or if not then he's the best option to get. But after that it's a bit hazy. Many say Aaron Hall for obvious reasons, Dayne Zorko being mentioned, Zach Merrett has been really good, Lukey Dahlhaus or Joey Montagna also other options.

Edit: Poll has been re-set for the new week as opinions change. Dustin Martin and Aaron Hall left off the poll as they are the two obvious choices for people to pick up if they don't already have :)

Lost the faith with the Hoff already?
I think Zorko is probably the best option, he's a little bit unique and has a pretty good history when some Best 22 Lions are out injured.

Nope, Lobbe has gotta go. Traded in Blicavs in the mids last week which gives means I can really trade in whoever I want to as DPP will work itself out whichever way I want it to :)

I never make threads that so specific that they are only useful to me either, coz that way we get too many threads that are kinda similar but not really similar enough to merge them. This way if people want a fwd, the poll will give the general consensus, then either comments or the Team Advice section can get more specific advice ;)

Zorko or Buddy by a mile.

Buddy looks in super form, looks happy and healthy and sydney are on fire.

91 102 109. Just ramping it up slowly, I think a 100 average is on the cards with potential upside.

Zorko will get plenty of chances with lots of lions out 148 and 108 is good. I would go Buddy over him just becasue of the question marks with injured stars in the squad.

Hall or Zorko are the best options in my opinion.

Hall is still amazing value and Zorko is getting alot of midfield time this season with Rockliff & Beams out/underdone.

Montagna and Dahlhaus are almost certainties to be top 6 forwards, but both are still a bit expensive at this stage .

I try to steer clear of key forwards, which is why i'm not as keen on Buddy

Marstar

Zorko and Dahlhaus.

No question marks.

why he is historically the best peforming forward we have (with possibly martin the exception)

he has shown he is pretty consistent in going around 100 and key forwards go good in SC from the contested marking and goals.

He isnt just a key forward who stands in the goal square and relies on getting just marks and goals. He is getting 18 touches a week soo far with 5 of them handballs.

going hall over buddy is just silly in my books.

I'm doing a forward upgrade this week, have cash in the bank, already have Hall, so can go Montagna or Zorko.  Which one?

jvalles69

No love for Montagna??  I get his price is high, but the guy is basically an midfielder!  If I had the cash it'd be him for sure.

pendles93

I have De Goey and can go to Zorko in 1 trade. Is it worth upgrading now or do I just hold since DG is doing ok?...

Buddy has been average for fantasy over the past couple of years IMO. Average of 87 last year and 90 in 2013 which just doesn't cut it as a top 6 forward. Managed to average 100 in 2014, but there were still plenty of 70's and 30's in that year balanced out by the occasional 150 when he kicked a bag. I just don't like the inconsistency that key forwards offer week to week. Especially if you're involved in cash leagues.

agreed historically mids dominate the highest scoring fwds list.   joey on my upgrade list.

Cheers, so that's Montagna over Zorko.

Just a quick observation that may help you decide.

Joey
Zorko
Dahlhaus
Hall

If all are considered fwd keepers this year then look at price - now and after 3 rounds of say 100 points per game.

Hall is the one to get...will rise in price by so much more than the others....

IF you think he can continue to be a top 8 forward.

Joey>Zorko would be my vote.

I thought dollhouse would slip sub 100 this year with libba back, he just had a massive week!
