Thanks for that info, haven't decided if thats what I'm going to do yet, I might just double downgrade if theres nothing else available, but I do like him, just don't like go after another mid pricer…it's prob worth the risk in this format.

I'm sorta in the same boat. I have $508k in my bank if I go to trade out Mills. Trying to decide whether to go for a fallen premo (Jelwood), a price riser like Zaha, a forward like Gray or Franklin or a backman, perhaps Docherty? Tough choice this week. May even do the same and downgrade Caff on my pine in order to upgrade Mills next week for someone like Steven.

I was going to try and bring in Priddis, but don't have enough cash, then I looked at his next 4 games and he scored under 100 against all 4 teams last year..think I'll wait on him!

Mitch Brown to Ruggles, chasing more cash!

Think Lobbe or Libatore might have to be the ones to leave the team this week, was hoping they would be better than they have been.
Like the look of Lobbe to Goldstein after dropping 30k in value so making use of that and probably even captaining him versing freo with no ruckman, should cover his b/e easily.
Liba would go to the likes of Merret (Missed the boat?), Zaha or Scully or possibly one of the big guys like the Mitchells or Steven.

The key to AF for me is to get the most bang for your buck early. Get those fallen prems, mid to slightly higher priced players killing it into your team asap and get rid of the rooks/players scoring poorly off your field asap then in the second half of the year trade your onfield mid price to higher priced players to the ultra premiums. You really need to be aiming to be full all over the ground by the byes or around the end of them as best as possible then use what rooks are available in the remaining rounds to get those performing less than your other players to those must haves. If you try to keep bringing in the best of the best early it takes to long to fill up and you end up getting left to far behind if your looking to rank well overall.

If you're only about winning leagues then buy the best you can afford. Will take you longer to fill up but you'll more than likely have a stronger team when it's done.

Going for league wins and not focussed on overall.

I was looking at trading 2 of Harwood/Mills/Hewett to C Byrne and another rookie. This would leave me about $200k in the bank.

However, I am also thinking of trading 1 or Mills/Hewett to C. Byrne via DPP and going 1 of Jacobs/Gawn to Goldy.

Wait, what?  You're moving Wells already?

Mr.Craig

Yes, yes I am.

Wells will make a bit more money but his usefulness to me has ended.

At this stage I think I'm going to bench Hewett to M10 to downgrade him next week, either play Menadue or Davis at M8 and then trade Mills up to Duncan and downgrade Caff to Byrne through DPP. Leaves me with $79k for next week.

Looks like a lock to get DEF status in a few weeks so I'd look at him then but probably not now

Surely better to get him cheap now, then swing him back?  I'm set on Duncan anyway, but I hadn't thought about the def status at all.  Would make even more sense to bring him into my mids now and swing him back later...whats his heat map like?

Depends what his BE, I'm assuming it's low though so could get a good time to get him.

I saw it on twitter his season heat map but can't find it now but I found his from Friday's game.
